This is a funny clip that's causing everyone to become crazy and pondering if this will ever happen in NUS.
A search leads me to this photograph of the lecturer… Wahaha.. I think NTU servers will start to wonder why there's a sharp increase in the number of searches for that name… http://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee/eee1/cv/elkgoel.htm.
Joan gave me this link, and I went over to take a look, and did this test. Somehow, I think I did that before, somewhere, some time ago… but anyway, just redo ba…
I was reading the forum section of ST, and I saw many replies to a forum letter dated 14 October, regarding how Singaporeans behave in a public place, I suppose. Somehow, the 14 October writer used the word "pig" to describe Singaporeans, resulting in such an active reaction of the people.
How interesting.
Of course I see such things almost everyday. I always think "the people are scared of ghosts at the rear of the bus" whenever a bus was crowded at the front, especially near the exit door, and quite loosely packed at the rear, especially during peak hours. That's a very sianz sight. But what to do… "there are ghosts at the rear of the bus" wahahaha!!!
For me, I like to stand at the more spacious area when there's no seat. As I was always carrying many things, I would not want to block the already-so-narrow walking paths between the 2 rows of seats, unless I do not have any choice.
Buses are like that. What can you do? Nothing. Board the bus, scan your card, move to the rear (if possible), wait for destination to arrive, press the bell, tap your card, alight.
MRTs? That's slightly more interesting. People tend to stay near the area where they get up/down the escalator. For example, at JE, people tend to stand near the escalators that's moving upwards, and wait there for the MRT to arrive. What to do… Lol… And for peak periods, it's even more interesting, especially in the evening, with people waiting for the MRT at JE, going in the direction of BB. People standing at the door the moment the train stopped. What for? Can't wait to rush in?
If I am alighting, don't blame me if you are scratched by any metal, wires, rough surfaces, etc. Lol.. because how the hell I get out when you are standing at the doorway?! I've encountered this kind of situation many times at different MRT stations. Interesting hor? How I get out? Usually people will siam you when you are getting out, and he/she is standing in your way. I just need to 'see'. Lol.
However, all these things, are not really related to the "pig" issue. Wahaha… I just feel like typing them out. That's all. There's more, ofcourse. Lazy liao, so I shall stop here. Go read the newspaper if anyone's interested.
