Friday?

It was an ok day. Played tennis in the morning with Ben. Still trying to find my own style of playing. At least now, my ball doesn't fly out too often. Before that, we spent a bit of time at YIH waiting for the drizzle to stop. Played 2 games of pool there. Quite a relaxing day actually.

After our lecture at 6pm, we went over to YIH (again) for dinner and project decision. Finally, the whole group of 7 people were all at one location. I ordered that crayfish thing. It's still quite edible. Then had desserts. Yummy!!!

But that's not the point. Our aim to meet there was to discuss on project ideas. It seems that, we do not have much to work on, because, whatever we have thought of, someone else has done it. Wahaha…

Oh well.

Saturday?

Went for a swim with Ruifu. Zhenyao was still sleeping at home when I was at JE. Wahaha… It did drizzled a bit while we were in the pool…

Good swim.

Had lunch at BK.

Good lunch.

Gone home after that.

Been stoning around for the past 1 hour. *yawns* Nothing else to say. No stories to tell. Nothing to clarify.

Been stoning around, and I suddenly think of this. It seems that, over the years, the more I want to protect something, the more that something will be gone.

I wonder why?

As in, I want to try and protect my interests in something. Somehow, something always happen against that idea, and that happening is always out of my scope of protection. It's like, the more I desired for an outcome, the smaller my chance of achieving it.

But what can I do? I have no money. I have no siblings. I have no gf. I have only friends. Some good, some bad, some here, some there.

And then, another idea came in. But it's a bad idea, so I shall skip explaining it. I think I said that before.

The bottomline is: what I want, I will not get. Wahahahaa…

So what if I don't get? Life still goes on. The clock doesn't stop because of that. I don't get this, and so, maybe I will get another?

Discussion with Prof John Thong was ok this morning. Nothing much. Ideas got rejected here and there, and we were still sort of stranded at sea. We need more ideas. Alot of ideas have actually been implemented, and there's no point doing them again. Oh well.

Went to Science for lunch. Ate the food from the muslim stall there for the first time! Wow… yummy! but wait… I sort-of had used that kind of fork and spoon to eat before, somewhere. And so, was today's really the first for me? Hmmm… *thinks* maybe not. Wahaha!!!

Somehow my comments on the mutton sounds astonishing familiar to me now. Hmmm…. I used the same comment before I think, or was it in my dreams or something like that? Hmmm… can't really remember, but then, the food's edible. Yummy also! Lol…

Went for the GEK lab. Felt so sleepy, clicking on Excel! Chen Ding was an interesting guy! Nice GA around… lol… oh well. Another one of the better GAs surviving in NUS…

And the worst was lecture. *yawns* i really felt like sleeping! Arghhhh…. quite boring leh… Hmmm…

Went to JE to do a little shopping, and bought a packet of honey chicken from the pasar malam. Mmmmmm…. And then, home.

Tomorrow? Don't know. "I don't know, about tomorrow"… ahhh.. just reminds me of Mr Wee from SA. The moment we saw him conducting chapel, we knew this song will somehow appear somewhere in his list of hymns.

Anyway, I enjoyed chapel at that time. Lol… a non-Christian, enjoying chapel? Why not? Last time, when that bag was passed around, I did put some in ok… Wahaha!! I wondered why some people don't like chapel… Hmm… never mind. That's their personal preferences. Heh…

Gone for some bball shooting with DC in the evening. Kena trashed by little sec1 or 2 css kid at ABC. Wahahaa! I wondered which teacher's in charge of CSS bball. Maybe one fine day, I shall find out…

Not all GAs are bad. Not all are good either. From a module's usage of tutors, you can actually see the reason: too many classes, too easy the syllabus.

I still think the best GA tutor was that CS1102C. Not my original, assigned-by-CORS one, but the next door, full house one.

Due to bad feedback from the tests conducted last month, where I combined 5 (or was it 6? Never mind about the numbers, just that it's alot) blogs into my this little belief address, I have to try out another method.

Since Snap.com has snapped up that idea of previewing websites before clicking on it, I rather preview blog entries before I click on it. Which means, when you mouseover the link, and that website has enabled rss feeds, information will be retrieved and displayed as a little Javascript pop-up. Technology-wise, it should be feasible, since I already have the rss convertor ready last month. Now, I just need an additional method to find the rss link in the website, and get the rss feed, and then process the latest entry, and then send the info back to the user, most probably by AJAX, and display it!

Sounds so easy… heh…

If that works, then I will find guinea pigs to play with.. Hmm…

HS Board Up For More Trials

Ok, anyone having ELove.Net accounts are welcomed to become volunteer guinea pigs for HS Board, the tag board that allows you to customise (almost completely) how your tagboard will be displayed. It allows you to do funny formatting, but please, understand a bit of HTML first, or else, you will have a 'fun' time formatting your board. Although I think it looks much like cbox, it's different. Hopefully, after kicking 2 team mates out of the class, Wei Biao and I can still form a group of 4. Otherwise, more harsh things will appear here.

Yes, Wei Biao just happened to be in the same tutorial group as me for FNA. Saw him walking up the stairs, and I thought that he might be taking that tutorial, and I was quite right. Heh.. Saw Kim Boon, who was also in that tutorial class. Wow… 1 primary school classmate, 1 secondary school class neighbour. JC classmate? In FNA lecture only. Damn. Or else, it will be a gathering of different groups. Lol…

And I am wondering, how the hell is 27 people going to form 7 groups of 4? Count the tutor in? I wonder how they come up with that magic number of 27 and 25. The only conclusion that I can get is that: they can't really count, or they did not learn the 4 or 7 times table during primary school.

What other reasons are there? I am sure they are going to say: admin difficulties. As always.

We managed to get into the Biz comp lab this afternoon. I just find one sentence, which is on a notice that is approved by the dean's office, very amusing:

Ouch… Little incident over at bball court just now.

zx elbowed my head (accidentally, of course) while we were playing bball. Somehow something happened and his elbow hit me on my head, just above my right ear.

Shiok ar. No blood la.. just pain… Lol… I am alright…. so far…

It's just that, when I move my jaw, ie open my mouth wide, I can feel the stretch… Lol… I wonder if it's the muscle or the bone. Hmm…

omg… the "talking to the wall" feeling is back… but then, I am very patient.. so… no replies? It's ok. I shall wait.

No no, I am not talking about MSN. Have to make this clear before anyone gets the wrong idea. Some things can be clearly specified, but not all things. Lol…

Anyway, most "talking to the wall" feelings are started by web technologies: irc, icq, msn, tagboard, etc… And so, how to avoid these feelings? Avoid using any of the above or such similar technologies. Possible? Hard…

Ok, went swimming in the morning. So many people!!!! I was not swimming. I was siaming obstacles… Duhz… SOC in the water. They should just abandon the trial area, and divide the pool into 2 parts – 1/3 for classes, 2/3 for leisure.

Went BK for lunch. Yummy… Whopper is a bit too big for me, but then, eating it once in a blue moon was still ok. I still waiting for a chance to try out Carl's Junior. Anyone? After school go Vivo. Wahaha…

Nowadays, almost everyday, I will only see 2 other people. Lol.. So we 3 have been sticking around quite often in school. Quite shiok eh… Lol

Went for GEK lecture on Wednesday. Some lazy people decided not to go to school to collect some important package, and Ben had to collect on someone's behalf. After the lecture, we 3 walked over to University Hall to collect it. Just a small little folder. Nothing much. Duhz.

We 3 had the impression of 'going for dinner'. We did not intend to stay for too long. But some people had another idea. We compromised. In the end, the other 2 left earlier than I did. What's my reason for staying?

There's no point for me to rush home and watch the news.

I have missed Diya and Carrie's semi-final.

It's a sad day. =(

Never mind, missed it then. So be it.

Anyway, gaming there was ok. Played some siao games here and there. That's all I will say. No more elaboration. Too lazy, and not much point to do so.

And someone who went for driving lessons said that he/she will try to meet us. In the end, we stayed till 10pm, and there's not even one single sms. Best.

Had the first lunch at Engin canteen. $2.10. Chilli and sweet sauce. Lol…

Went to Biz Dean's Office to settle some tutorial stuff. Finished the whole packet of sweets. Soursop was not bad too.

It rained when I had finally decided to go home. It was pouring like mad. Wind and rain water. I thought I was somewhere when I was crossing the so-called covered overhead bridge. The siao 183 driver thought there's no one at the bus stop and zoomed past. Duhz. Watched the Daren and Nat for semi-final. Quite disappointed.

I have not touched the pool since Saturday. I want to speed in the waters. Over the months (years maybe), I have been swimming and swimming, training up my strokes and strengths instead of stamina and endurance. But that's the way I like it. Lol. I have been focusing lots on technique. My frog style should have passed the beginner stage already.

And now, perhaps it's time to improve on front crawl. Funny thing is, rf swims the front crawl, and I anyhow swim my front crawl, and I am still faster than him. Wahahahaa… funny…

January 18. So fast, and there will be 5 more years to go. 24 is coming up also. I have no wishes for this year. I believe that, whatever I want, I have to get it myself. There's no point wishing for this and that, because it just won't be fulfilled, and I end up disappointed here and there.

One example: the above will explain why I buy myself a watch last year at TM.

There are more, of course. Like why did I get my own wallet, why did I get my own bball, why did I get my own thumb drive.

And I am happy to say that, I need nothing.

Actually the best time to learn the National Anthem is in nursery. Wahahaaa… Duhz… Why? Because nursery children sing the loudess. Primary school, lower primary is always louder than upper secondary. Secondary school, still ok, although mouth moving, but no voice comes out. JC, totally no movement at all. Wahahaha…

Best alternative to learn the National Anthem: learn Malay. 1 word by 1 word, and not according to the translated version. What is "mari kita"? What is "mari"? What is "kita"? Lol…

Some siao siao ones will try to be funny and ask: what is "Singapura"? Whahahaa!!!
