Received a complain from a major about us not securing the chin straps of our DH132 when we were out on detail. Apparently, he caught me, and signalled me to put on my chin strap, which I did. No choice. He major. I corporal… Even though we all think that the straps are useless, getting these types of emails mean that more people will be pointing fingers, gossiping, and shooting arrows… We had to follow the instructions passed down…

Last night's sentry duty was so lonely and quiet that I went to dig out a piece of paper from the sentry post, and started writing! ???? is the title… I think I am writing about my indecisiveness on things, especially those regarding relationships and such… Brain storming only…

Full day orientation tomorrow… Rain…

Now in guard room once again, doing my so-called last duty. I don't care much any more.

Indeed, it rained during the orientation during the day, but luckily, it was not that heavy. Missed a turn this afternoon, and my vehicle went on to Ang Mo Kio! Not a big problem for me, as I had some experience along that part of the road during my civilian driving lesson days…

Now playing a ping pong flash game on the computer (Illegally… :P). Quite fun…

Staff Parade soon… I don't care much… I just want this week to pass quickly…

Ok, currently a bit late, but I can type quite fast, so here's the entry…

This week's going to be a busy one, COC parade tomorrow, followed by the 4 drivers' orientation. The 4 had just returned from their M113 course. I just have this feeling that I will be wet once again. Whatever…. I quite like the feeling of travelling in the rain anyway… haha..

This will be my last full week in camp. According to forecast, I will be clearing my offs and leaves. That means I will be very free, and which also means that I will be spending quite a lot of money… no good….

Next week, perhaps I will be going over to Sim Lim Square once again. Need to find a bluetooth USB port. Time to be bluetooth-enabled. N6230 is already fully charged, awaiting my command…

It happened whenever I had guard duty. After prowling, my soles will be painful. Initially, I suspected that it was due to my worn out insoles, but the result was still the same when I changed into new ones. And now I think it's the combat boots. Perhaps the sole's worn out, thus the distance between my leg and the ground is reduced, and hence the pain… haa.. trying to find explanations out of nothing…

Forced myself to be awake till now. I can just lie down on my bed and sleep almost immediately, but I have things undone. I need to do them first.

Collected the photos! I just love the sky view! The colours… How I wish I can get to see that kind of view every morning… (but then, seeing too much will also become boring…) I will not do any pages for the Genting photos yet. Wait till I am officially on leave, then I shall revamp this whole place…

I think the ladies at the photo shop besides 7-Eleven at JE know me already! Always had so many photos to develop, so many requests… lol… everytime I get my film developed, I will request for photo CD, index print, 4-R matt… standard practice. Saved lots of troubles for me, like scanning the 4-R photos… today one of them asked me to buy more film as there's some offer going on, but currently, I am not going to have any event that will require my camera, so I had to turn down the offer. No choice. Budget low…

I have finished my collection of another set of comic books! This time it's “Pretty Face”. Only 6 books. The story is about a guy who met with an accident, and a surgeon changed his looks to a girl's, and he had to pretend to be a girl who has a twin sister! Funny comic…

Hopefully I will be able to fly tomorrow. The pain will usually take 1 to 2 days to subside…

Tomorrow have to remember to post that NUS letter… I sealed up the envelope already. I ticked 'Electrical Engineering'…

I rarely use the mood I have chosen to use this time.

Questions. Why there's no reply. Why I have to help out on Monday. Why I have to do guard today, when the rest are happily booking out. Answers. I have asked a stupid, irritating, useless question. I am too free, and they have to find some things for me to do. I am not that lucky.

The first question's the one that bothered me the most. I knew nothing much had happened, but without a reply, I don't feel quite right. Something's wrong somewhere…

Another problem is that choosing of electrical engineering as my course. I wondered if I had made the correct choice? I have not send the letter yet…

Things are just in front of me sometimes, but I just get myself to jump across the hole that separates me from them… …

Booked in once again. And the bad news came one after another. Firstly, we heard that we need to orientate the 4 other new drivers, which means the tiring trips once again. Next, my beret and No. 3 belt was so-called 'borrowed' by some people. They just took them, when I was not around! My belt was kept in my cupboard…

Tomorrow's back to work. Wonder what will change, because things are often decided when I am not around… I don't really like that, but what can I do? Adapt to them I can…

Still misses Genting's cool temperature…

We went down to KL yesterday morning! Took a cab down to Petronas Towers. Each trip, up or down, was RM$60! Took a walk in the shopping centre. The shops looked the same as Singapore's, maybe slightly different in terms of price. We found out that they do not allow visits into the towers on Mondays. What a wasted trip there! But then, we ate lunch at A&W! That fast food restaurant's no longer in Singapore! The curly fries, the root beer float… mMMMmm! After buying some things at Cold Storage, we left for Sungei Wang Plaza.

Nothing much there too. It's just like a normal shopping centre, with all the shops and all…

Was going down to KL a bad idea? Maybe not… at least we found out how their taxi system works. Some taxi drivers just think that tourists are for them to gobble up. Maybe they have forgotten that Singaporeans like to gobble up other people too! The taxi driver whom we asked to take us to Sungei Wang Plaza actually wanted to charge us $RM60 for the 5-minute trip! Tell him to wait till the sun rises from the west…

We also learnt that the taxi drivers there could become part-time rally drivers. They took corners at 80km/h, and their styles were just like those racing drivers, taking sharp left turns by keeping to the right-most lane and turn into the left lane, and vice versa for sharp right bends. We had to hold on to the handgrips. Even when there's a blind spot in front, they did not care much too! And during both trips, up and down, we could smell burning tires….

We got back to our hotel room by 1630. We took a short rest till 1800 before we went for our buffet dinner and then, our visit to the casino. Lost all RM$40 to the slot machines! Haha luck's not on my side…

Had to leave Genting Highlands this afternoon, no matter what. We had a bus to catch. Did not play at the theme park at all due to time constrain. Bought lots of foodstuffs at the Genting Skyway station… and also at the 2 mid-point stops.

Reached Tuas Checkpoint at around 9pm. After clearing the customs, I had to watch in dismay as the coach drove along the AYE right past my home! The driver would not allow us to stop anywhere else except at Lavender MRT Station…. -_-

Reached home finally, 1 hour ago! Going to miss the cool weather, the nice morning view, the clouds, everything… hopefully the photos will look nice…

Currently going to sleep. Have been doing lots of things the whole day. We reached the hotel at around 3, after travelling since 7.30am. After that, we went to have our buffet dinner. Not bad, for a change. Later, we spent 3 hours singing at Be A Star Karaoke. Went for a walk into the casino too. I don't think I am going to spend much on that… I rather spend the money on gifts and such, therefore, I did not start at all…

It's so misty up here! I cannot see the scenery outside at all! The wind's cold, and water droplets are condensed on the window… It was great walking in it! Tried that while on our way for karaoke.

Should be going down to KL later. Hope I can find something there… Hmmm… Something cute, something nice… Got to open my eyes and look around!
