Yes! CCA ended officially today! Or rather, yesterday, as it has already past 12am. Lol!!!

Now I can go look deep into anti-crash software. Ok, not that chim. I am PATCHING UP my software to make it not crash. Sounds like a big problem? It is. But I know how to solve it.

What I need to know, is all stated in this page about Thread Safety in the Standard C++ Library. Hopefully that will solve my problem. Then I can stick to my plan of completing my software by month end.

I like to set my own deadline to complete something that I have to complete. My deadline is often very tight. What to do, I like to chiong… and then relax later. I don’t like to do things slowly in the beginning, and then panick near the end. Currently now, due to that, I can do additional CCAs and kena a few flying arrows…

Actually, when arrows fly towards you, do that mean that, they believe that you have the ability to get things done? Lol! *think positive*

Who cares who believes. I believe in myself can liao. Heh… What to do, what is this blog’s title?

To sum things up, yesterday’s CCA was GREAT! Great job, fellow CCAians, well done! Lol!

Have you ever dream of something that you have wanted to dream of?

In the past, I used to hope that, one night, I will dream of the one girl. But it never happened. It seems that, the more I try, the more it would not happen. And so, what did I do?

One fine day, I decided: let it be.

And some time later, for no reason, she appeared in my dreams. Lol.

Dreams are strange things. One moment you can be here, and another moment, you are doing something else. Sometimes, you dream of yourself falling from a great height and then waking up abruptly. Sometimes, you dream of something that you will not remember.

But you will remember that you had a dream. The details? Maybe not that clear.

Dreams are really like a recap of what has happened. What you have seen in the day, may somehow appear in your dream, but due to the number of happenings everyday, the ‘stories’ will get jumbled up, with your own interpretations, your own ideas, and your own desires. It’s like a whirlpool, with so many things mixed together to complete a story.

Sometimes, you get up feeling more tired after a dream. Sometimes, the dream felt so sweet, you won’t want to wake up. Sometimes, you just hope you did not had that dream.

But it’s not for you to control.

Regardless, hope you have a good dream while reading this… good night. Lol!!!

Something finished late, and I am not in any mood to go take the MRT.  And I am ‘happily’ looking if my software will crash once again.

Yeah… wtd…

Anyway, today was a CCA day. Tomorrow will also be a CCA day. So will Thursday. And so will Friday. I am in office… doing CCA? Lol… Never mind. Everyone does that. Heh.

Ok, maybe I should get out of office soon… hungry.

Hmm… maybe… I should restore my tagboard in here. It’s so boring writing things here, and you don’t which ah ngiao ah kow reading. Wahaha! In the past (well, the past, you know? The Past… lol), I used to have a IP logger.

But that’s the past.

And maybe I should also start to think of ways to fully utilise this webhosting plan. I have not restore my previous email addresses that are related to this domain.  I still have SMS credits in my account with clickatell. I still have adsense to put up. I still have databases to restore.

And I only have 3 databases now. 1 is used for this. Well…

I have always treated anything that is related to programming as a HOBBY, something that I will do more efficiently during my free time.

Sometimes I really do not understand why a hobby turns into a full-time job at my workplace. Duhz. What I hope for was hardware primary, software secondary. It somehow ended up the latter, even though I started off with the former.

If I have wanted to become a siao programmer, then why do I specialise in (or rather, be more active in) control systems?

Anyway, I cleaned up my work project over the weekend, something that I would have taken a week to do when in office. Office environment is not that nice to do… office work. I would get distracted by this and that, by CCAs here and there, and by crazy people all over the place. Lol.

I am just a few steps to the completion my work project. Let me complete it by month end, if possible. 

I still want to talk about office! I started the day feeling like I can solve all problems. I ended the day pondering if that is really the case. Lol. Office environment. Duhz.

Hmmm.. my mum just got a small operation on her left eye last week. Hmmm… looks ok leh.. nothing much. Lol. She had been complaining about bad eyesight, yet did not go for checkup last time. Duhz. So now bobian lor, needs a small op. Well… Lol… Like that lor. Heh. 

Anyway, what I did over the weekend was, reading the Book, watching the Drama, nuaing around, playing some guitar, listening to some songs, and… of course… stoning. I gave up playing tennis on Sunday, as I was too nua to go out, and the weather’s too hot!!!!

Ok. Simply 1 word: LAZY. lol.

I was thinking, maybe I should find 1 day, grab some friends, go to some place, and shoot some photos…

And this week is going to be a tiring week I guess. Well.

Woah… whenever there is a chanced meeting with a friend at the swimming pool, the number of laps will be affected.

And ofcourse, the sun will still be there, right above, always so bright…

But today was indeed quite a special day in terms of weather. IT IS HOT. So hot that, I got a bit of a sunburn.

Walked to the bus stop out there, to take 176. Walked past this Malay wedding tent. They were already blasting the music at 11am. Wow. I wondered if Sicong could still manage to sleep in that kind of deafening music. Lol!

Oh well, maybe he’s not at home… Wahaha…

While walking to the swimming pool at Bukit Batok, I saw Zhenyao!!! Wahsey… Never plan to go swim, and yet, can still meet. Lol!

And so, we swam a bit, talk cock a bit, nua a bit, and all our swim plans were not carried out. Wahaha!!!

After the swim, I went to the bus stop. 188 came, and so, it meant IMM. Why was I there? I did not know. I just want to have a walk around. Slowly. Looking at things, yet not buying anything.

Bought Old Chang Kee eventually. Lol.

Walked back to JE. Yeah. On foot. Strange leh, I used to take either 105 or 52, but today, and such a hot day, I chose to walk to the interchange. I must be out of my mind today. Hmmm…

Anyway, walked there, walked into NTUC, nothing interesting, and walked out, and took 143 home. Nothing interesting on the bus too.

Wahliew.

Is today really a holiday? Lol!

Ok, it’s gonna be FRIDAY!!!

Somehow, I love Fridays. I do not know why, and one of the reasons is not really due to work. Somehow, weekends are the best time to do my work. In the office, somehow, I am doing unrelated stuffs most of the time. 1 minute, I may be working on a software. Another minute, I may be sourcing for hardware. 1 minute later, I may be trouble-shooting some hardware. And some time later, I may be doing some unrelated things.

Arrows. I get lots of them.

And also, what a boss said to you last time, try not to believe too much of it. Because, things are always changing. Something that’s said can always be taken back, or forgotten.

Wtd…

Nevermind. Lol. It’s 1 more hour to FRIDAY anyway.

What am I going to do this weekend? I don’t know. See how ba. Nua-ing may be a good option. I wanna a karaoke session, but I think I shall leave that for next week. See how.

I was randomly clicking through my past history blogs, and sometimes, I was really amused by myself. Did I really write that last time? Wahaha!!

Especially during the months of February, did I really write all that? And wtd… what’s that piece of chinese lyrics that I could not even remember?

But looking at history can be interesting… Heh. It’s like, finding back yourself. Knowing yourself, what was you, and what are you now, and do a comparison.

Hahaha… had a half day on Tuesday!!!

We had lunch at æ–°æ—º at Yishun. Heh.. saw some really familiar faces from my camp! And somehow they still rememebered who I am (I think.. because one of them waved back at me).

Should have had cheese baked rice with pork chop. Ended up having cheese baked rice with chicken chop. Oh well.. the waitress herself had remembered wrongly, as she came to our table, carrying both kinds of baked rice. My order went to Yaohua. Lol!

And somehow I did not realise that, until halfway through. I must be very hungry! Wahahha!!

Ok la.. not bad. But I think Kim Gary is somehow better? Hmmm…

After that, I started my half day out-of-office! Lol. First stop: Chong Pang Camp. The place still looked quite the same though. Heh. I went in, and walked the familiar route to the medical centre (ok, not familiar in the sense that I always went there during my army days, but familiar in the sense that I was in that camp grounds…). Talked to the MO abit, and then, he gave me 84 days of Excuse from IPPT, RT, carry heavy loads… wahaha!!

But then, the 84 days expires 1 month before my birthday. How? Heh.. See the outcome of the medical board first ba…

And I saw that… that… RSM from my unit last time!!! That… er… wat’s his name… Heng-something (no la not Mingpo)… Wahahaa! Looks like he’s in HQ already. Heh. I was in the medical centre, and he went over to that officer’s mess’ smoking corner to have a smoke.

I was out of the place by 2.30pm, and I started my long-awaited-bus-ride-game… I just missed that 969.. .aw… and I ended up taking the next bus: 859.

Well… it was a tour of Sembawang estate. It went past Sembawang MRT station, and then took twists and turns all over Sembawang, and I ended up in front of Sembawang MRT station again. Lol! Got off, and went into Sun Plaza, somewhat thinking there might be a Popular bookstore in there.

Indeed there was! Heh… And I decided to do some investment…

Ta-da! I am at Chapter 23 as of now.

And then, I found the interesting comic books that we saw while in JB!!!

Hahaha…..

Well, I showed some of them the first book, in office today. They did not have much reaction over it.

*turns head and says* this guy doesn’t have a sense of humour… wtd…

There was some bazaar downstairs, and I bought 2 packets of 算盘子… really disappointing. Machine-made, hard, tasteless…. aw…

Took MRT to Woodlands, and transferred to 178… in order to start reading the book. Interesting…

And then, I got too tired, and gone to zzz-land.

And then, I managed to wake up just before JE library.

Walked around JE, and decided it’s too early to buy dinner. Took 143 home.

Time? 5pm. Lol!

The whole day, I was also playing with the bluetooth GPS receiver that I had bought from Sim Lim Square. Lol…

 Er… picture’s a bit blur… that strange ricoh camera has always been.. .well… strange.

Ok ar… not bad actually. Sometimes, it does not require line-of-sight for it to receive a fix. Hmm… I can receive the signal even when I was on the bus, standing right in the middle. Well well…

Quite fun hor… If only I had this thingy before the Hawaii trip… Lol… then we could have gone for more exploration… Wahaha!

Ok, I think tomorrow’s gonna be a long day… Hmmm…

Suddenly, I am mad about going overseas. Lol.

Went into JB with Minyan and Mingpo on Saturday. Yinghao joined us in the afternoon.

The 3 of us met up at Kranji MRT Station at around 10.30am. Mingpo and I was on the same train, as he was just behind me when I got out of the station. Then the lady appeared, and we took 170 in.

I was thinking, if a scenario that I had thought of happened that day, it would be an interesting day. Lol. But since whatever I think of usually won’t happen, the day’s safe.

Aw… lol! (What’s the scenario? DON’T TELL U…)

Clearing SG customs was as usual, a breeze. Going to JB customs was as usual, stuck in a jam. At least the new CIQ’s big. The CIQ’s grown big. The white card’s has become smaller in size. lol…

And then, we were in JB! Since they had not been to Tebrau City, I suggested that place. Again. Lol.

And so, it’s my third time there, and my first time to go there by taxi. The other 2 times were by car. We went to City Square to change some money, and set off for Tebrau City.

Ok, I think 11am is not a very good time to enter JB for lunch. The best time is still to meet up at 10am at Kranji, as always.

Anyway, we reached Tebrau like 3 hungry ghosts. We went for food at Stone Grill (wtd… my THIRD time… but their first.. so.. ok lor). 3 people. 5 sets.

WOW.

The key thing was, we finished everything.

Then we ended up jalan jalan around the shopping mall. I got nothing to buy… so.. just jalan jalan around. Mingpo bought a bib (for himself… no… for his nephew) from Toys “R” Us.

Then we got tired from walking, and we ended up at this chinese herbal soup place for a rest while waiting for Yinghao to appear.

While I was writing this, I remembered the first time I ended up at Tebrau City with Zhixiang, Evelyn and gang, we did thought of going for the desserts, but I think in the end, we gave it a miss. I forgot the reason, but I think it had to be due to dinner time. Lol…

Well, each of us ordered a dessert. Someone ordered 3 eggs. I ate 1. No prize for guessing who ate TWO…

And then, Yinghao appeared, after a long wait. Then we went for another short round of walking around, and then set off for dinner, since there’s really nothing much at Tebrau City.

And we managed to get lost once again while searching for a taxi…. wahahaa!!! I did not know why…. but it’s funny laaa… and we ended up 自拍-ing at the carpark…. Diaoz… lol…

I forgot the seafood place that I have gone to previously (although I remembered 1, at Jalan Ibrahim Sultan), near Taman Sentosa. And so, I asked the cab driver. He said, for seafood, go to Taman Sri Tebrau…

And wtd… That place’s 大马花园…

Ok la.. at least I know where’s 大马花园 now. Lol. It’s so near to Taman Sentosa anyway.

On a side note, I somewhat remembered the route to the seafood place that I had gone to, with Zhixiang and gang. I remembered something about “turning left on seeing the public bank along Taman Sentosa”… I remembered this when the taxi drove past the bank. Lol…

The 3 of us were so full from lunch and dessert, that I did not dare to order much food. Yinghao was the hungry ghost for that round. We had the following:

• 麦片虾
• 叫化鸡
• 马来风光
• 蒙古豆腐
• 肉骨茶

Seriously, the things there were not cheap, and not all’s nice either.

After that, we had another 自拍 session. Heh… then we somehow started the search-for-a-taxi thingy once more…. But this time, we were more lucky. A taxi came to us, instead of us searching for one.

And then, back to City Square. Jalan jalan around. As usual I still had nothing to buy. Minyan bought a blue blue bag for.. er… a very low price. Lol. Mingpo bought a pair of sneakers for a … quite a low price. I got nothing. Yinghao got nothing too. Ok, rephrase: we got nothing that significant. Lol!

Then it’s tidbits shopping time. Strange la, but I was the one buying most of the food. Strange lor, they did not seem to like to buy those food lor. Hmmm…

Actually I don’t either. Wahaha.. I just felt like buying something back.

Saw Zhixuan at FOS. Wahhaa… he was with a group of friends.

Then, the last stop was Secret Recipe. Somehow, the lady still managed to finish 1 bowl of Tom Yam Noodles. Yinghao had a milkshake. Mingpo and I had cakes. Excluding Yinghao, we all bought cakes back too.

And then it’s time to go back home. Wahaha… and I saw that nua 1 on the bus! That Wu ar Wu Jian Liang…

And this time, I was quite suay, to be stopped almost the whole journey back to SG.

1. At JB CIQ, I got stopped for not showing my passport (wtd)…
2. At SG CIQ, I got stopped by the machine, due to the sensor detecting 2 persons in the box, due to my plastic bags (wtd)…
3. After the scanner, I got stopped by the officer for a random check (wtd)…

Let them check all they want lor. Wahhaha!

We tried to 自拍 somemore, even on the bus. Diaoz… wahaa..

Well well, it was a good trip, I must say! Wahhaa!!!
