Ok, what happened for the first few days of 2009?

On the first day, we started our first 2009 tennis session. It rained after awhile, but we did start! Lol. Chris, hua hui, and me. Lionel#2 was there. Yes, was there.

On Friday, I was slacking at home all the way, watching anime. Just a few more episodes to go!

On Saturday, we started our first 2009 vball session, even though the attendance was a bit CMI. We had eddy, yinghao, edric, mandy (STEE, not Spec Hut), and me. They had not even put back the courts. Will they actually put them back? Hmmm…

After that, went to JP with eddy. Saw Emmanuel there. Too bad, I did not have DSLR with me, or else… heh heh… follow behind him, take some photos, etc. He did not even see me, if I did not go over to poke him. That showed his attention towards a certain object. Yes, object in general. It can be alive too. Lol.

On Sunday, we had our second 2009 tennis session. 5 people this time: chris, zhixuan, hua hui, alan, and me.

Before that, I had my first 2009 major expenditure at queensway: 2 nike shirts. 1 red + black and 1 dark blue + white.

And then, tomorrow is back to work. Zzz…

I need to clear all those admin stuffs tomorrow. Clear them all!

Some interesting things (or maybe not)

1. When a person A says that another person B is doing nothing, actually A is the one doing nothing, because A is so free that, A actually notices that B is doing nothing. But basically B might be doing something, just that A just happens to see B taking a break.
2. Empty barrels make the most noise. N.A.T.O. (no action talk only) also. If you put N.A.T.O. inside an empty barrel, you get thunderous sounds. Brrr….
3. Don't ever show half-done jobs. Once, I saw a MRT fitted with a dunno-whatever-high-tech-notice-board-thingy. When the train was at JE and moving towards BB, I kept looking at the display, and wondered when the light for BB will light up. It did not. And so, the train announced "Bukit Batok", and the light on the display was still at "Jurong East". And then, the system was turned off at CCK. At least they remembered to save some electricity.
4. Anyway, the sign does not inform me which side should I get off at JE if I want to go to Boon Lay from Bukit Batok. It informs me which door is going to open. Why? So that I don't fall down to the track by getting off the wrong side?
5. A particular company starting with 'C' actually allows you to pay in instalments (everyone knows that). They allow you to extend the repayment period, and they do not allow reduction for that period. How I know? I am a victim. Oh yes, they use the very famous Rule of 78. Don't know what's that? Google is your best friend.
6. "Yesterday is past, today is a gift, because it's a present". So what about tomorrow? I don't know. Because "I don't know, about tomorrow…"

Ok ok… I better go sleep. Wahaha…

Oh yes, 2009 is here!!

And yes, I am still around. Lol.

Been trying to be busy for the past few weeks. Busy with OT, and programming, and solving problems at work. Busy with evaluations, debugging, testing, and all sorts of things here and there.

And sometimes I really wonder, why certain things end up in my court, when initially, it's not? Often, this will end up wasting each other's time, because my answers will be like the following.

Last week was Christmas week. Before that week, we had our own team makan session at Sakura. We had planned for a gift exchange whereby we would get gifts, but would not know who they were from. But then, by now, I think most people will already have the answers. Wahaha…

Well, it was lots of fun guessing who bought for who. I got a wallet which I think was not suitable for my use, as I am currently a man of many cards…

Makan session was great! Great buffet. Lol. After that, we went to Orchard to get a drink, and crapped.

Can you imagine, going down all the way to Orchard, just to get a drink? Wahahaha…

And then waited for a cab from 11.30pm till the next day, around 12.20am… Crazy leh.

We had a Christmas celebration at one of the offices on Christmas Eve! We each had to buy a present for the gift exchange! And of all numbers, I had to draw out number 42 (my boss' gift), and to my horror (alright, not that horrible though. Lol) it's tea leaves in a metal casing!

Well well, nice casing. Lol.

And as I was typing this, a mosquito came by. Looks like it had its supper. Rest in peace, mozzie.

I bought a USB TV Tuner a few days back, and realised that my ancient computer is not fast enough to handle it. Wahaha… Diaoz currently looking for some guy to 'acquire' it from me, so that I can use that money to buy some other things…

And yesterday was New Year Eve. Nothing much though. Went over to IMM to get my self-given christmas present – Sansa Express 2GB. I was considering this and Sansa Clip, but bought the former. So far, the sound quality is good enough. Wahaha…

Went over to Parc Oasis to help collect Vanessa's books from Amanda. 3 thick books of duno-what-topics. Should be bio-related I guess. Wahaha…

Ate dinner at home, and then became too lazy to get out of home. And so, I counted down with Channel 8. Lol.

Maybe I should just get out of home. Heh.

Played tennis like siao last week. And this week too. It rained just now, and the session was cut short. Lalala… I love rain. Wahhaa…

Ok, a recollection of 2008 (somehow, in some order which is not chronological):

• Completed 4 years of stuffs, and graduated with 2nd lower honours.
• Got my best grade, A+, for a 12 MC module. Wahhaa. No that did not managed to pull me up to 2nd upper.
• Got a book prize, for doing well for that 12 MC module. Free money.
• Got ditched once again. Ok ok, not ditched. Got kicked. No. Got slammed. No also.. Ok ok, got rejected. Again. One fine day, I may just get too used to being rejected…
• Got into one of the SBAs of one of my top choice companies. The Japan company did not want me. That Jalan Boon Lay SBA told me that they had enough EE people for the year. The-One-That-Operates-Trains did not get back to me at all. Pulled in 2 other people into that SBA to suffer together.
• Using my first pay, I got myself a Yonex RQiS-1-Tour, and loving it.
• Using Courts installment plan, I got a LCD TV and a home theatre system. Wireless rear speakers. Yeah. And I emailed them a few days ago. They said I cannot cut short the repayment period. So sianz. Meaning I have to pay more interest. Shit.
• Using the credit card, bought a Canon 1000D, and loving it. Paying 'subscription fee' every month.
• Cleared the PPCDL course, and the examinations. That reminds me. I have to do the claims soon.
• Cleared the probation period.

Well well, what's in for 2009?

• Save, save, save, and pay off my debts.
• Keep my job, in order to do the above.
• Enjoy while I still can.
• Aim for downgrade for NS ASAP. I just cannot do that IPPT in my current state. They said that slipped disc is a straight-to-PES-E thingy. I shall see. Aw… I want to go back to unit. To slack though. Wahhaa…
• On the radar, and detect the correct people.
• Take nice pictures, because every photo should tell its story.
• What else? Basically I don't have much aims la… I am quite contented with what I have (or do not have) now.

Ok, continuing my updates…

Finally got the PPDCL last week. Yay. Anyone with a little boat of SZ or SZH class looking for a boat driver? Lol…

The card is life! Lol… But then, will I ever own a boat…

Ok, they are out again, for the 3rd set of data. Lol… I can keep my eyes on 2 screens, so that's not a problem.

Played tennis yesterday. Played like shit. Wahahah!!

After the photo-taking session at Marina Barrage, I went for a haircut at Ben and Kat's. Lol. They even have the herbal hair treatment thingy now! $25. Maybe I should try it out one day.

After that, went over to JP. Woah!!! It's BIG!!!!!! Lots of stores! And mostly are useful stalls! Yeah… and the Challenger cashier had moved from IMM to JP also. Lol… Ok, everything's big! And full of people! Too bad that I did not have time to walk around too much. I would have spent half a day there!

Imagine this. I walked into Fairprice Extra. I decided to do a U-turn out. Lol. See the amount of people going in and out of that store…. Woah!!!!

Ok, shall go there again 1 fine day…

Met up with Yingfong last Saturday! Lol… at IMM Mac, before I went to meet lionel#2 for raffles city area photoshoot. Talked about insurance lor… Lol… Prudential.

Ok la. Her timing just nice. Might take up something from her. Lol.

And then, 2 days ago, on Saturday, saw her again at Suntec! She's there psycho-ing people to do her survey! Wahahah!

Ok, so after getting her name card 2 weeks ago, I will start calling her Evonne or Ying Fang. Note. YING FANG. NOT Ying Fong. Not Ying Feng.

Ok, boat's on the way back now. Heh heh… update again next time.

Wahaha! It's been some time since I updated this place! Been playing around with the layout a few weeks back. I shall keep it like this for a while.

Yes, I have removed the list of links. I shall think of a better way to show those information when I have the time.

Currently, I am at SAFYC, enjoying the sea view. Lol. Nice view of the marina, with lots of little boats, both powered and sail, and lots of ships at the eastern anchorage, and ofcourse, Changi Naval Base at the far left corner. The sea is quite calm as compared to last Friday's. A little bit of a breeze, a little bit of clouds. Shiok.

No I am not having a holiday. Doing some testing.

For the past weeks, I have been relatively busy with work. For last week, there's TWO days where I went home at 11pm+. 1 day, I went home at around 7.30pm. And Friday's at SAFYC. I wonder if I am required to go back to AMK later.

During the weekends, it's camera-testing. Went to City Hall area for the first week, and to Marina Barrage last Saturday. Now I am getting better at shooting… Lol

Played tennis on Saturday and Sunday!

Saturday's tennis was quite a last-minute thing, confirmed at around 12+pm. Lol. And it rained quite a bit around 2+pm. In the end, I went over to Queensway first. Met chris, zhixuan, and huahui there, and then lionel#2 at the courts a while later, after the rain died down and stopped. Played a bit, and then home. Heh.

Sunday's tennis was the usual standard one. We had chris, zhixuan, youjiang, lionel#2, and me. Lost to lionel#2 7-6. I forgot the score for the tie-break. Was somehow distracted by the sudden darkening of the surroundings during the last few points of the game. Hahhaah… Think I need to find some vitamin A… carrot juice.. yummy.

Monday was a cold day! It rained since early morning, and it drizzled for the whole afternoon, and it looked like it has stopped for the night. Natural air-con type of weather. Lol. Played the whole day. MapleStory! Wahaha! Have not been going in for quite sometime, and therefore, today's return into MapleLand. They have added in a lot of things! It's getting more and more complicated, with the number of new places, new quests, new items… and even a new job!

Woahh…

Heh heh. Actually, nothing much happened over the weekend la.

Christmas? Hmm… what will I be doing this christmas? Stoning at home, maybe. Or go and start my own DSLR party in town. Wahahaa…

Oh yeah, I still have 4 free tickets. And I have no one to invite to watch movies. Everyone's busy, but somehow, they have time for people special in their lives.

So, what is the value of my existence in their lives? A passing cloud. A breeze. A bout of rain. Water that flows into the drain, ending up in a river, and then out into the sea, and into the ocean.

Ok, I better not talk about the value of my existence, because I am priceless. *pukes*

As always, I am given funny titles and surnames whenever I email western countries, which were more used to the firstname-lastname format, rather than us asians, which uses the surname-given name format.

And I end up with Mr. Kwang in 1 email, and in another, I have been given a PhD too! Dr. Kwang!

Well well, why are people labeling a wedding as "A's wedding", "B's wedding"? Just because they only know 1 of them?

According to Wikipedia, a wedding is "a ceremony that celebrates the beginning of a marriage or civil union". Therefore, it should be a 2-person affair. And so, it should be "A and B's Wedding"!

Attended John and Yiling's wedding dinner at Carlton Hotel yesterday! Her wedding gown was… wow! Lol.

People that I know on that night: Mandy, Wen Jun (if I am not wrong… lol) and little Trecia!!

Tried out the EOS 1000D. Due to inexperience dealing with such cameras, I have missed out taking nice nice photos of the couple!! AHHHH!!!

Sianz… I need to up my photography skills. FAST. Have to be damn pro before whoever's wedding! Lol. If whoever invites me, that is.

The table? Well well, we had a total of FIVE teachers with us! Lol… It sure felt like a MOE dinner. Wahhaha!

Ok, that's it. Settled the PPCDL. Heh. What's next?

Anyway, the tester is a nice guy. I was lucky today. Or else, I would have failed because of the theory part.

At least, now I know there are markings (m) and (s) on maps, indicating the type of seabed (mud and sand). I totally did not remember seeing this in any of my notes. Maybe I did see it before, in a document specifying requirements on the charts, but I just took a quick glance at it. Zzz…

After that, went to BPP with yinghao for lunch and to look at cameras. Lol. Saw the EOS1000D. Bought it. That's it. The start of Lk Digital Photography. My aim? Take nice, meaningful pictures of everything.

Maybe I should test it tomorrow at the wedding dinner. Lol.

And now, I should start sourcing for an air-tight container, and a big bottle of silica gel.

Fell asleep just now. I was just very tired. Lol… probably due to last night's/ this morning's activities. Tried to sleep on 176 on my way back to JE, but due to the number of things I was carrying, it was quite difficult. And the 176 was fast too.

Yes, I siam Sitex. I have nothing in mind, that I can buy from there, at a deal not found anywhere else in SG.

Met jianliang and eddy at JE pick-up point at 11pm. Picked up Zhiwei at Redhill. And then, off we went, to geylang!!! Dim Sum!!! Yummy stuff! Thanks Zhiwei for the 'forced treat'. Wahahaha!

After that, it's soya milk, and then home lor. Slept at near 3am. I need to sleep la, for this morning's activities…

And I woke up at 7am. Well done. Super not enough sleep.
