Well well… it was a nice day…. so nice that it ended just a moment ago.

I ended work at 10pm.

And I have a long list of "to-do"s which I have initially planned for today, but due to unforseen circumstances, have to push them back to another day.

Talk about planning. That's no point in planning. The more you plan to do something, the more it gets disrupted by some crap things here and there. If there is really a need to plan, plan to slot in something, in case that something gets delayed.

And the credit card bill arrived. And that reminds me to call up a particular hospital to enquire on a rather crap thing, whereby I was advised to go for an MRI scan so that a better report can be written, and I got the report 5 days after the MRI scan. Obviously the latest scan has not been reviewed. The report is also based on past records. And the best thing was, the report was inaccurate.

WTF.

Heh heh… finally I saw Zoe today. She was also around yesterday, but somehow I only saw Nan Xing.

Well well, Day #2 of filming. Heh…

And I think she's still as pretty! Lol!

It's interesting, to have 'special appearances' once in a while at the YC.

And today, Li Nan Xing came for filming. I think there were others, but I only saw him.

And I even walked past him like, 30cm apart… He looked serious early in the morning, so I did not go and shout "HELLO" in front of him wahahah!!!

And later, he was seen running somewhere around the jetty, and was believed to have jumped into the sea for 1 of the takes.

Never mind, we shall wait for the drama. It will be aired in May, I think. It should be the one. The one where all the big shots of Mediacorp are in it.

Wait and see ba… Lol…

oOoo… my order from Dell has arrived on Tuesday! And I only had time to do some configuration and testing on Thursday night. Zzz.

The course has finally ended. It was tiring, but interesting. At least we learnt something which we tried to apply right after the course, and ended up hitting some rocks along the way. It's useful, sounded easy, and yet, not that straight-forward to implement.

Ok, about my new desktop. Just a simple one, that will allow me to do more things on it. My Fujitsu is becoming more and more problematic, and therefore, I think it will be good to get a replacement before everything's gone.

Why not a laptop? Because I can still reuse my old Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers. Because I want a big screen. Because I want more than 3 USB ports.

Because that's the way I want it to be.

My Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse are still usable. So are my printer and scanner. And finally, I can use the USB TV Tuner.

And now, on my 2 tables, I have a desktop, the Fujitsu laptop, and the Lenovo laptop. Hehehe… currently writing things and looking at work stuffs on the Lenovo one.

Spent a bit of time writing some coding. No errors so far. Hmm… funny things. I have not much problem with the SDK. Why the office folks are unable to do it?

Come Monday, I will be back to the YC. Yay.

It's been raining quite frequently these few weeks. Sometimes, the rain can be quite heavy. I was looking at some report just now, and it stated that the rainfall for the month of March 2009 had exceeded past records. Is that climate change? Lol… In December last year, we had quite a dry year-end. Hmmm… funny weather.

And I am still thinking if shifting tennis timing to 11am will be better. I don't want to go out in the afternoon and then go home after it rains. Or worse, getting ready to get out of home, and then it rains. Lol…

See how ba I guess.

Ok. Gonna be extremely busy for the next few weeks.

First, we are going to have a 4-day course. Then we have things to rush out. Then we have more things to iron out. Then we have even more things to do.

And if all is well, I will be no longer around, locally.

It's weekend, but I am still sort-of working. Even now. I am just taking a little break.

Been having a bit of 'fun' with the telco that is red in colour. Called the helpdesk that lets you wait until siao. Got the answer, and off I went to the red shop at west mall. Paid $158 for a nice white new modem. And now, I am having internet and voice phone capabilities. Zzzz…

I got the old modem in year 2007. Just nice the warranty ended. And it's weekend, no one can solve my little problem.

And that siao voltage adaptor converts 230VAC to 5.1VDC. WTH.. 5.1V…

At least the new one uses 12V, which is a much more common and friendly voltage value.

Yes, March is coming to an end.

So fast.

In another 2 months, it will be May, and that will be 1 year since I last took an examination at NUS. In another 3 months, it will be 1 year at work.

And I am still a poor man. Zzz. A poor man, with not much money, not much assets, not much love, and not much opportunities.

Not that I am seriously looking into all the above. I just love my current life, going to the yacht club, staring out at the sea sometimes, go fishing sometimes, go out on the boat once in a while, and working on the software side.

Basically, working at the yacht club is very different from working at AMK. Actually, I am able to do things faster at the clubhouse. Somehow. Even with the miserable 53.6kbps supposedly-3G-but-no-3G-network-available broadband on mobile.

Sometimes, I just think, one needs to be contented.

Or maybe, I am easliy contented.

Or maybe, I am just plain lazy.

Maybe.

Having partially recovered from some flu and cough and sore throat, I think it will be good if I can manage to go take some nice pictures of flowers, but, I am lazy! Haha…

Somehow, I think that, many things have happened to many people over the past week while I was down. (but then, the sentence is so…. generic. Ofcourse many things happen to many people… duhz… whatever) I hope they will stay strong, and do whatever they have to do, go through whatever they have to go through, and make some choices, regardless of results.

Well, that previous paragraph sounds like I am describing you? Well, that means I have successfully created 2 very generic statements. Lol!!!

Ok enough of crap. There is something wrong with my laptop's keyboard. I am having problems typing the letter 'n'… I hope I did not miss out any of them here…

Went for the first ever 2E gathering! Lol! It's been… ages! Ok let's do some maths. Now, we are 25/26. In sec 2, we were 13/14. Therefore, it's been 12 years.

Wahahah!!!

Ok la, however, only 6 appeared. Heh. Better than nothing. The 6 are jiaying, ashley, youhui, zhenyao, victor, and me lor.

Well well, not that I have not seen them for the past 12 years… Lol…

Ok la, we went to have dinner at Ichiban. Then crapped here and there, and then, home. Ok, at least we got the whole class list written down. I am still wondering who sat around my table. But never mind, I think I have a little memory of it now. Heh.

Those were some good old days. We had to climb that slope to our classrooms. And sometimes (or most of the time), we were there early, and the stairs were not opened yet, and we had to either walk further up the road slope, or to climb up the grass slope. Either way, we would still end up walking around the same pathway to the classroom.

Well, we were lazy people, so we often chose to climb up the grass slope. Heh.

Before the meeting, I went to walk around IT Show at Suntec with yinghao. Crazy crowd. I think they ought to set up ERP for human traffic along Citylink Mall. It's jam, jam, and jam. Once one gets out of the MRT at City Hall, the jam starts, right at the escalator. Then every escalator along the way, there's jam. Then there's heavy traffic throughout.

The key thing is: I bought nothing. Yay!!!

Sunday, I made a good decision not to go for tennis. Heh. Crazy weather. Crazy winds, and crazy rain. The rain water managed to seep through my windows into my home! My family had a bit of a crazy time preventing the water from coming in.

That was what me and jeremy did at the YC last monday, preventing water from seeping into the container office via the door.

Then the rain stopped, and I met up with kelvin to talk about insurance. Heh.

Today, a boat somehow capsized at the YC. The wind and the rain were quite strong this afternoon I guess. I did not notice much as I was in the container office most of the time. I did look at the waves though. Crazy waves, as they splashed onto the concrete breakwater. The water managed to come all the way up.

And while taking taxi this morning, the taxi driver drove me to … Changi Village. I should have packed lunch from there hor… Hmm… Lol!

Recently, boss asked us to try taking cab to and from site.

And yes, we tried out that idea.

And today, we set a new record for taxi fares: $45. From Tanah Merah area to JE area.

All thanks to the nice jam on PIE, from before Eunos Link all the way to after BKE. And of course, the usual jam at the right turn at Toh Guan.

And so, if according to calculations, assuming that every trip costs $35 on average, 1 day, we will clock $70. 5 days, we will clock $350. 4 weeks, we will clock $1400.

I guess, I have better things to do with my pay than to put the money into a "0% interest, 3-month fixed deposit".

It's kind of crazy. Just look at that amount of money.
