Today is a good day! So sunny!!!
Went out at 9+, to the Mint Gallery to collect my stuff. Went to swim after that, and ended up at Westmall for lunch. After that, hopped onto 187 all the way to Woodlands. I have not been there for a long time. I mean the Woodlands Library and Causeway Point.
The library still looks the same. I can still find the categories at the old places. And I found Book 3 and 4. Yay. Something to read for the remaining week. Lol… Borrowed 4 books in total. It's been a long time since I borrowed that many books on a single trip.
After that, went into Causeway Point for a walk-around. Most shops are still there. Courts is undergoing a bit of renovation. HomeFix has changed their layout abit. As usual, nothing much to buy. Lol… Lazy to buy.
The going-home-route is a bit more powerful. Took 963. Saw 187 in front, and hoped that 963 will overtake. It did, and I alighted at Marsiling to change over. Alighted at BBDC to switch to 188 to IMM to buy something, and then 52 back to JE to get the concession e-stamp, and then to the coffee shop to buy some yummies, and home on 143. Huat ar.
Yeah. One of the reasons for the various switches is due to the aircon. It's warm in the aircon bus!

Yeah… blogs are a funny thing. Or rather, the blog owner makes it so.
1 day, you visited a blog. The next day, you see something new. You scroll down, and you don't see the previous post that you have read earlier.

So why bother to put it up in the first place?
There are many reasons, but there's no need for me to list them out.
How funny.
Cleaned up my room yesterday. Found nothing special. Perhaps, everything that used to be special have become non-special. Things are just sitting around, collecting dust.
I have an empty A4 size photo frame. I wonder what I can put in there. I have an empty small photo frame. Nothing in there too. Sometimes, looking around, there's nothing much in my room, and yet, there are a lot of things lying around. Some useless. Some useful. Some just exist.
Certain things are just there, but I just feel nothing from them. Certain things are just there, to remind me of other things. Certain things are just there, to laugh at me.
So why do I still keep them? Because they have done nothing wrong.
And for people who are wondering why I have been so busy, and if I am pattor-ing or whatever, here's my answer.
No. I have been busy, because I AM busy. No other reason. I have no girl, not chasing any, not buaya-ing, not pattor-ing. I have no desired target, no intention to find one, no desire to find one, no need to find one.
I am not living in the past either. There's no past, therefore there's no living in the past.
And I am not gay.
Sometimes, when I see couples around me, I will think, what if I am in there? Then I will think, luckily I am NOT in there. Or maybe, why I am not having any? Then sometimes, thoughts wander over continents, and questions become: what have I done for the past 2 dozen years?
Nothing much. Nothing interesting. Really.
Why?
1 week after VIP, I am glad for the 2 week break before term starts. Although there's not much to see at I2R, I still miss the tea breaks and the lunch breaks.
Actually, working in a research institute is ok for me. People who do not like and definitely not suitable for research are those who give up finding answers when a problem is found. They will just see the problem, attempt to solve it using simple methods, and give up and go to sleep when their methods failed.
And also, having a good supervisor plays an important part too. My supervisor did not push me too much, and allowed me to do things at my own pace. Therefore, I did things at twice the speed.
The most bad thing that happened during the VIP was the first day, when my supervisor assigned the other guy to do the image processing part, while I was tasked to do this new hardware project. I was looking forward to look into some programming for image processing at that time. But whatever, the hardware project was good too. At least it made me the (should be) highest-spending intern. Let's see, LabVIEW base package ~ 2k. NI-DAQ ~ 2k. ICs and parts ~ 0.1k. Total ~4k. Well well.
Found "Fields of Hope" score sheet. As if I know how to read it. Duhz.
Wahaha.. I think I have left my skate guards somewhere… yeah… somewhere, and I have forgotten where. Lol…
Oh well…
Anyway, went skating practice session yesterday. Still trying to fine-tune certain things. Heh. Things like my skates, for example. Wahaha…
After that, went back to school to find my FYP supervisor. Saw this familiar name and matric number on his list of FYP students. Project 3131. I wondered who it is… *act blur*
After that? Went home lor. So sianz.
Sentosa trip was ok. 1 thing that I was not very keen to eat during BBQs was prawn. I just don't like it. Nowadays, I don't eat that much prawns too. Oh well. No particular reason anyway. Just not keen.

Ok, it's time for a week's recap of events.
Last week was my last day at I2R. Dr. Yau treated me to lunch at this NUS alumni clubhouse. I loved that nasi lemak set lunch. Yummy fragrant rice, with sambal chilli, ikan bilis and peanuts, 2 prawns, 2 wings, 1 fish, 1 otah, 1 egg, 1 cucumber, and a sweet potato soup as dessert. Wow…
Erm… since he's treating, I did not ask for the price. Wahaha… just eat. Bleah… Yummy…
Cleared my stuff at I2R too. Motto is "Leave Nothing Behind". So many things to clear. Over the last 2 weeks, I have been gradually clearing things that were not mine. Things like project files, electrical tools like multimeters and pliers, and some chips here and there.
No one wanted to collect them. I was just doing a SERVICE to clean up some other people's RUBBISH.
I currently do not have any plans for returning those things to their rightful owners.
Saturday was quite bad due to the rain. No swim, but just walking around. We went all the way to town, up to Suntec, to find out about inline skates. Ok la, in the end they bought at the place where we started off earlier: Westmall. Duhz.
But then, had a good sleep on 97. So nice. I just love sleeping on buses. Wahaha… Sleep and don't miss the stop, that is.
Sunday was bball day. The weather threatened to rain, but it did not. Cooling day. As usual, played until 6, and half dead. I need to find back my stamina.
Yeah. I should resume running.
Monday is today! Lol. Went for inline skating 'lesson' at West Coast Park, and then tennis 'lesson' at SRC. Fell down once only, because I decided to start slow. Wahaha…
Slowly la. Imagine, 90kg dropping onto the ground is not a painless experience ok…
Tomorrow's plan: Swim in the morning, Sentosa in the afternoon.
Wednesday's plan: Back to school.
Thursday and after: See how.
Hmmm.. I need some time to clean up my room too.
About modules now. Currently having no mood to choose modules. After all these semesters, what all of us did was, to find a suitable module that will fit our schedule, not according to preferences. Most of the time, something will clash somewhere. And that's opportunity cost. If you happen to spend too much points while bidding for your preferred modules, only to lose out in the later semesters due to insufficient points, then it's your own fault.
The best thing to do is, try not to have any preferences in anything. Whatever is good too.
