Went to the optician this afternoon to have an eye check and to prescribe new spectacles. The optician told me that I may have 'lazy-eye'(the right one), which I hope not… I do not know why, but my glasses seem to get more and more expensive with each visit… must be something to do with the frames that I choose…

A recommendation from a friend: GunBound. It's something like Worms, except that you have more characters to choose from, and it's a network game! Most important, it's free!! GunBound.Net. Note that the installer is around 100mb… heehee

What a nice morning. I would prefer to wake up in a cold and wet morning, however… nevermind, I am strange sometimes.

Currently in my room, thinking of some ways to rearrange the furniture. With the 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer, I am trying to find the best way to get the best sound. I need to find a better way to place my printer and scanner, as the current arrangement does not allow me to connect my scanner. Or perhaps I shall sell my scanner. Anyone interested to buy a HP Scanjet 3400C? It scans at 16bit only though.

Using back my monitor speakers for the time being as I shift my speakers around. It's always good to have backups, just like in real life, always have some backup plans in hand, in case something happens…… whatever…

As for the new design, I am currently working on the weblog history section. I may be able to finish everything by today. New look, new feel, the same old me… haha

Looks like this thief is not too bright,
Hopefully he will be thrown aside.
But now no one knows who is right,
As there are no evidence at the site……

Doing IRF duty now. Because of this inconsiderate guy, we have to do things that we normally don't. Looks like I will be on high alert this evening. Who knows what will happen tomorrow, what measures have they come up with, and what will they do to find the culprit……

We can only wait and see……

Sometimes, we can see 2 guys having an argument. When you look deeper, you may realise that a small problem caused it, an it got bigger simply because both parties refuse to admit that they are wrong in some ways. They believe in what they believe, and their mindset could not be changed.

This is the problem that I have seen (and gone through before). I just think why people just can't cool down and think things through before words come out of their mouths. Maybe this is part of guys being Martian in nature: warrior-like and refusal to admit defeat.

But what can I do? I can't possibly tell every guy to use his brain. And sometimes, it is better to let them argue through and contemplate later, and realise how foolish they are.

Yes, I admit that I am a big spender.

I went to the Creative Warehouse Sale just now, and after abit (yes, just a little) of consideration, I bought an Audigy Sound Card and a set of Inspire 5.1 Speakers! The total cost was slightly over $300!

This is just one of the big spendings that I have carried out over the years. Last year July, I upgraded my whole computer, together with the graphics card, and the total cost was $400 plus. This year, I bought a TDK CD-Writer, a Creative CD-ROM Drive, and a HP PhotoSmart Printer. I had also changed my hard disk and my graphics card (again, as the old one refuses to co-operate with my system). Total cost for the whole upgrading is now over a thousand.

But that's me. I save when I want to. I can really save, if given the circumstances to do so. Otherwise, I just don't care much. I buy what I want. I buy what others want too…(*ahem*)

Looks like I will have to eat grass for this month. But nevermind, I still have my in-camp rations (I mean fresh ones, not those out-field stuff). This will also prevent me from spending too much during tea-breaks.

Time for a change, I guess.

Nothing much today at the zoo… maybe it's because we're all guys, and I mean guys, not guys with GFs or BFs or whatever…

Got to book in by 10pm tonight. Another weekend night gone… guess I will be using my mobile phone instead. No time for updating, no time for modification. Not even time to talk, to sit, to sleep, to eat… Event after event… and I can still survive…

Maybe I need to claim some of my off days soon… a need to reward myself…

Tomorrow's RSAF Family Day, and (is it unlucky or the opposite?) I have to join in for the celebration at the zoo. Not a bad idea actually, as I have a free entrance ticket (where did I put that in? Hopefully it's in my wallet…) and some coupon stating that I am in the zoo for the Family Day.

I did not know that the NTUC at JE closes so early. I reached JE at 2230, after going to Chris' house for some gaming fun. I have not bought the film for tomorrow! I will go hunt for 1 tomorrow morning.

We had a CO's Parade this morning. I got this little certificate of merit from the CO. To me, that is just a piece of paper to add into my collection, not much feelings at all. Perhaps I am just too used to this unit's life and style.

Went to Causeway Point with Chuen Mann just now. He just had the eye operation to correct his eyesight, but due to his high degree of short-sightedness, his vision was not completely corrected, and now he is suffering from some side effects. I guess I will never go for this operation unless necessary. However, who knows? I may grow tired of spectacles and contact lens. Nah…

Think I will add another piece of information into my diary: location. I am updating this from my bunk, using my mobile phone.

Think I will scan in some of my baby photos too! Till I get home…

Just came back from the open house, had my dinner, and thinking through all the events today. As there was a shortage of helpers, me and Gary (The 3-Tonner Driver) had to help out. We carried those small kids up and down the V200, and wow, aren't they cute! I remembered 1 little girl with big eyes, looking right at me, waiting for me to carry her down. When I stretched out my hands, she just walked silently towards them, with her eyes still fixed on me. Maybe I looked like an alien to her, but at the point of time, I felt like hugging her and taking a photo! (I didn't… What a waste…) I still connot those huge eyes and the apple red cheeks (maybe due to the hot sun). Looks yummy! Lol

Now I look like a cooked crab… Chilli or black pepper? Haha… Tired, but quite happy….

Tomorrow will be my third and last day at PLAB (of course, as tomorrow's the last day of the Open House!).

Seen many people. Seen some nice nice girls too! (*wolf? -lol-) And also seen some old friends. Hopefully, I will be able to spot more tomorrow!

Standing there and looking has its bad effects. My hands are back to the old Tekong days, half dark half fair. Yes, there's a light breeze blowing, and that sure helps us in getting this sun tan.

Seen the aerial show 2 times already. Tomorrow (if the weather's fine) will be another 2. It's like playing a video clip over and over again. I plan to buy a camera (those small, use-once-only ones) and take photos of the V200. Think that's the only chance that I can take a picture of the vehicle without violating any rules…

Got to book in later, and that's the worst thing. I guess I will be questioned by the guards later for booking in on Saturday, unless they have got news about me returning (impossible). Another Sunday going into the drain…

About the new design, I am still working on it. I have all the menus ready, but I still haven't decide on how to actually place them. Maybe a dropdown, or a scroll-along? I don't know…

Next Saturday is the RSAF Family Day. I have to go to the zoo. No, I did not ask anyone to go there with me. And on Sunday is the Army Half Marathon. No I am not going to run the 21km (will die). I am going to take my time to walk/jog…

With last year's experience, there's no motivation to run as a group. No incentives last year. This year? I doubt. May he prove me wrong…
