Watched AVP just with a group of friends. Nice show. Interesting. As usual, it's just the sound effects that's making people jump. It's funny too! Especially near the end… I am not going to say much. Go catch it! Hahaha… a short movie though…

Tried to find a bag just now. Went to Sports Connection, but they had only one design left. Decided to look elsewhere.

Just decided to update my update page. What am I talking… I mean, last time, I needed to manually put in those html tags, but now, the lazy me has chosen to let the server do the job instead. This was something that I had always wanted to change, but I only care to do this only now. I wonder why also…

This week's the last all-lecture week. Next week, everything's going to start. Tutorials especially. So far, I have not seen any of my tutorial group people except for 2 others which was seen during lab that day, and one guy who I have seen for a few weeks… hahaa…

What have I done this week? Nothing significant I would say. It's going to be like a routine, which is bad. No life? No way… have to put some life into it. Maybe… maybe not… I don't know.

There are some things I want to do, as always, but some other considerations always hold me back. Maybe I consider too many things. Time, money, commitment, opportunity cost, effectiveness, etc. Think too much? Maybe… Or maybe a lack of self-motivation and confidence somewhere…

Where did I go wrong? Or, have I been correct all the while? I think the answers will be revealed to me soon… very soon…

Went to collect my little prize today! Nice? Have been playing with it for a while. I still need some time to get used to it. It’s not very heavy. Oh there’s irDA, Bluetooth, and Wi-fi! I spent around 1 hour trying to figure out the Wi-fi connection until I see the little label on the box which put a tick on the sticker which says 2.4GHz, 11Mbps, which means it’s a wireless b device. My router was configured to support only wireless g. Had solved the problem since then.

Went to JP with my mom after that. I was trying to find a bag. Not much luck it seemed. Bought sushi! mMMmmm. It had been weeks since I made my last maki sushi. Have to find time to brush up my skills a bit. Bought Coffee Bean ice blended again! The Ultimate! mMMmmm… -lol-

Friday… It’s gonna be here!

Yes, my weather is here. The one I like. The one I've been waiting for. But I don't think this one's going to last for long.

It happens often when I need it, when my mood is somehow lower than normal. It happens often. So when it rains, either my mood's very good or not too good… tonight's happens to be the latter.

Electrical Engineering Experiment. Went in with Weimin. Benjamin's was in the next room. Well, luckily we had a helpful supervisor. She discussed, hinted, and helped us alot, or else we will still be working at 1pm. Anyway, lab's supposed to be 9 to 12, but we handed in our reports at 12.30pm. It was not hard actually, following instructions. It's just the thinking part. How to put those observations into words and explain them thoroughly. And what's the way of presenting our answers. We absolutely had no idea! This's our first lab. Surely they can't expect us to know how to do everything when this's only our first?! Well, DSO was fun, even though some parts I still do not really understand, but… whatever…

Travelled by myself to FOS after having lunch together with Weimin. He was going back to hall, so he took another bus. I reached there at the correct moment, and Melvin's lecture just ended. Passed him a photocopy of my matric card for submission to unit for exemption from reservist for the next 4 years. Waited in LT26 after that. The time was 1.30pm. Still quite early.

As usual, today's lecture was more stars. But also some light bulbs. Actually, microbiology is fun. I shall go into more details using the book that I have bought. Want to know more. Hope to understand. Aim to do well. These apply to all the other modules too! *ties red cloth around head* -lol-

And next: outings. So far, outings were by group. Yeah, Group C. Nothing else. Tried planning for one, but all of them seemed so busy. It really looked like Group C people are the most free around. Tonight's Attempt #3. As always, it failed. As always. I do not know why, but, as always, someone will not be free, someone will have something on, someone will not want. As always.

Never mind. Used to them already.

Currently using my laptop to do my stuff. I am getting used to it… Just done configuring my bluetooth adaptor, and have used that to playback songs on my phone using laptop speakers. Interesting… Done updating my phone contacts easily using the PC Suite. A breeze.

Today’s lectures were alright. Maths, understood only around 60% as usual, and Programming was alright, but a bit fast. 67 slides within 2 hours. Bidded for the programming lab too. Took up the 12 to 2 slots. I have no other choices. My OG people also chose the same slots.

Went down with my mother to pray and burn incense papers. Today’s 1st day of the 7th lunar month. Not much people. It’s getting less lively with each passing year. I wonder if I will still hear any sounds of getais this year?

Tomorrow’s 3pm lecture. Well, enjoy this week while I still can…

I have been waiting for this notice. It has been 2 weeks since I ordered my laptop. I had collected my laptop last Friday (and missed talking to my SP. Now I have forgotten who she was). And I thought that they have lost my contact information.

Until last night, when I checked my mails, I saw this email with the subject: Fujitsu lucky draw winner.

In the mail are the details on collection of my little prize, the one I got while at the Matriculation Roadshow. I just happened to fish out one of the 2 red balls left in the box that day, after I had paid for the deposit.

I guess I will have to make my way down to Henderson Industrial Park on Thursday. It's a Fujitsu LOOX 610. Not a bad prize to win.

Just finished trying out The WebAssign for Physics. Quite fun. Managed to get all the questions done, with some stupid calculations error here and there. Imagine, I can calculate wrongly with a calculator! It's bad…

As for today's Maths Lecture. As usual, I was sometimes lost. The lecturer often 'went on vacation' without 'applying leave', and we were stranded somewhere, just somewhere. Somewhere but not necessary anywhere… opps…

Missed the JC days. Maths was so fun. We were lucky to have Mr Tham Kine Thong as our JC Maths tutor. He was great! Although I have already forgotten around 50% of what he had taught, it was mostly because of him that we could have done well for our 'A' Levels. And also not forgeting our class smarties, which I got my answers from sometimes, if not always…

And now, in NUS, I am lost… I better find the shore…

Supposedly having a OG outing. Supposedly going for dinner and then KTV. Supposedly not at home.

But why am I here now?

Yeah. It's been cancelled. Why? Too few people. And why that? They have other things and events in mind. And why that again? …

We had been discussing over this thing for quite some time actually. Basically, the only people that had been discussing were the only ones left last night. And one of them decided to pull out. But that's not the point here. It's just… too hard…

Imagine. 3 different lecture groups. 3 different timings. Over 10 people. How to settle for a time? Unless we have 'advance bookings', we can't. Night? Yeah, we planned night outings, and today's a result.

That's one of the many reasons why I hate to plan such things. I would have been more than happy if there's a turn out rate of at least half the group. Yeah, we all have our own private matters. And school has started too. It's just hard…

I think I shall spend the rest of tonight over Maths notes or whatever… Since there's no fun out there, I shall carry on with the boring stuff.

One weekend. Gone.

Today's day 2 of lectures. Went for the CS1101C make-up lecture. The lecturer was very funny, making the subject interesting. Well, lectures are not compulsory, and tutorials are going to be semi-compulsory… isn't that great?

I have to make this clear: I am not a programming siao ok… I am a guy who is totally (almost) new to C. Treat me as a computer idiot ok… hahaha

Went for the LSM1304 Lecture. Quite interesting, the topic, but the lecture was a bit too… fast and too… brief. I got lost halfway through and nearly fell asleep. I liked the topic, but somehow I did not like the lecture… the beginning was alright, until the thing about DNA came in… see stars.

Went home after that. Nothing much to do. Someone had wanted to borrow my laptop, but I cannot lend it. I have my reasons. And I am sure that my parents will K me for that. So, no way can do. Sorry. -_-

Anyway, free day tomorrow! Got to find myself something to do. It's not everyday that I will have this kind of chance you see…

Now, end of holiday.

Lectures are starting. Next will be labs and tutorials, which will mean homework, projects, preparations, exams…

Latest upgrade to my home: Wireless internet connection, mainly for my laptop. Lazy people like me will not like to move the ADSL modem USB port in and out. So inconvenient! Therefore, I went over to Sim Lim Square yesterday evening to buy the necessary hardwares. It did not come cheap, however… Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Gateway with 4-port Switch.

Went to Rouge at 8.30pm. Found out that the place was just next to Acid Bar, the one I went for a primary school gathering a few weeks ago… Just had the feeling that it should be there… Meet the rest of the OG. Glad that the usual ones were there, although some had to leave early. We drank, we danced, we talked, we played. After that, we even went for supper. Reached home around 4. That marked the end of O-Week 2004. My Group's Poseidon. Great 'Free And Easy Package'! -lol- and thanks everyone. Let me name them here: Councillors – Shao Ming, Guowei, Fu Ming, Stella, Xu Feng! Group Members – Caiqun, Fen, Jia Hui, Joan, Edwin, Wei Min, Junrong, Lionel, Benjamin, Chong Ann (who gave the bash a miss), Renjie (whom I saw only once or twice). Did I miss out any? Hopefully not… I There's a Malay girl and a Sri Lankan guy, but they were seldom seen… Hmm, if I had those pics now, I will be able to write a full story on the O-Week…

Just finished figuring out the actual confgurations needed to get the connection going. There's 2 port number that's needed to be changed, and I found the 2 numbers from the dialup screen. So that's what the 2 numbers mean. Now, I can access the internet from my living room without pulling a long telephone wire and carrying a ADSL modem along! It's just great!

Managed to restore my guestbook today! And also, I have removed some locks from my photos too. But my room's still in a mess. Aw…

Went for a short bball session today! It was like, 1 to 4pm. Short and hot. Nothing much today. Just that some people assumed that we were playing 5 on 5 with them, and they walked into our side of the court, only to be turned away. And it's not a friendly rejection. One that's more on the hostile side… See their faces… hahahaha

Tomorrow's National Day! Happy birthday Singapore! And happy birthday to you too, if you ever read this… ^_^

Woke up this morning by my HP alarm. Did not feel like getting out of bed, but as I had declared that I will appear for the Rag Day, I got out and prepare for my morning trip.

Today's trip was the type I liked. Smooth transfer to another bus upon reaching transfer point. 143. 285. 96. Got out of home at 0805. Reached Campus at 0845. Record timing. Seen part of Rag Day. Had to leave due to some things which I had wanted to do. Some things like shopping for some stuffs.
