Hmmm…. Below is one part of a suggested changes to the siao S/U policy that is in the process of so-called 'refining'.

"S/U-ing of previously not-S/Ued modules cannot be allowed as seniors will be able to take into account a greater number of modules when reconsidering their S/U options and hence putting the freshmen at a disadvantage. Most importantly, the University wishes to emphasize that the S/U option is designed for an educational purpose and not as a way to erase a poor grade. We should be responsible for the choices we make."

Putting the freshmen at WHAT disadvantage? Seniors are at the disadvantage here, as things have already happened and results fixed, and not juniors who have not even gone through 50MCs of modules.

"Taking into consideration that many of you may have already expended some or all of your S/U options in the previous system (S/U before release of results), the one-off retraction of exercised S/U options will give you the opportunity to benefit from the new S/U system (S/U after release of results). We hope this will level the playing field for everyone."

So you can 'glorify' a very good S/U-ed grade and use the restored S/U grade on some other sucky module grade in the future. So you can 'glorify' a good grade, and you cannot cover up a poor grade. I don't think people will be 'clever' enough to restore a 'C' grade.

Policy sucks, but who cares. Walk the streets? Protest? Burn flags? Siao.

Today's tutorial was great. Time passed very fast when I was not wearing my watch. Basically the class has quite ok communication skills. Heh. And of course, a great tutor, to make the 2 hour session soooo fun!

And of course, looking at chio babes. Lol.

Went for lunch today with mr law and jr at biz! Had honey roasted chicken leg and pasta, and coleslaw. Yummy. Went for the tutorial, and then stoned at arts canteen with zhonghui and freddy. After that, went to LT4 to put down my bag.

Nowadays, I have been walking all over the faculty, and I can go from one place to another quickly with all the strange routes. Went to comcentre to check email, and ended up replying to an email almost immediately after it was received. Lol. Walked over to YIH a while later to find jh and ben, and then back to LT4 for lecture.

Seeing stars for lecture!!!! Why is it that level 4 modules are all like this? Hmm…

Took bus to West Coast after that, to buy dinner. Waited ages for the bus for the return trip. Crazy timing. And packed too. Duhz.

Why is it that during peak periods, the buses that arrive tend to be single deck, with people packed like sardines near the entrance, and the rear like a ghost town?

Eh… SG bus scene. What can you do about it? Raise fares? Lol… And they are going to anyway. Hmm…

It's been a long time. I have been delaying this, but finally, over the weekend, I did it.

I cleared off abandoned databases.

I cleared away databases of blogs that were created for use but not used, databases of past blogs, and some useless main databases. Next, I will clean up boards that were created for use by not being used.

I have done a partial clean up. Next, will be the cleaning up of ELove. "ELove no more" is the aim. When ready, maybe I should just sell off the domain name. Lol. Then maybe, when someone accesses the site, it will become some….. strange site. Lol.

Ok, time to sleep. Don't feel like doing anything tonight. Played keyboard just now. Haven't managed to fill in a chorus tune. Maybe the tune, under a piano pro, will sound better… Hmm…

But there aren't any piano pros that are directly available to me wor…

This weekend was really quite sianz…

Due to rain, I did not go for any swim. Due to not enough people, there's no bball. Ahhhh…

So what have I done? Programming for FYP lor… I haven't start on the MatLab coding yet… Hmm… My variables generation code worked ok I think. Now is the Matlab crazy looping through to find a certain group of values that will give me the minimum error.

What my sup said on Thursday actually made sense… Lol…

Ok, maybe I should start on a bit of data collection eh? Who wants to be my subject of study? I just need people to stand there and do nothing for around 30 seconds. Lol… And I will need height and weight. No… VS not required for the calculation, but maybe it can lead to better/worse balancing correction mechanism? Wahaha!!

Ok, since I am already in such stage of work, it's time I relook into documents and papers. That's my way of doing things, just like how I did my stuff at I²R. Playing around a bit and coming back to papers allows me to know what I am doing more thoroughly.

CA1? Hmm… maybe I should do something to get my documentation started too. As always, documentation is an on-going project. There's no last-minute documentation. I will forget what I have done by then.

Ok, time for more things to be done!

Found out that IVLE actually lists out people in my class, in a section called Groups. With a little tweak of the URL, I can look at other classes' list. Hmmm… so far, I am not too interested to know who is in which class anyway. It's just that – yes I can access. That's all. Lol.

Was at home in the morning, and went out for tennis in the afternoon. Something was quite wrong today, and my shots were mostly over the line. Damn… It's like, the line's there, and my ball landed just nice after it. What the…

Time to improve on my ball control. Lots to improve on, but I guess, resting is first priority. Fell asleep on the bus home. Nice weather to sleep…

Let's see… why am I single? (not in order of importance)
– no one wants me.
– interest has to be both sides. I have not seen any of that.
– people are attached.
– I don't have the means.

Lol… no need to go too much into details ba… Heh… All everyone can talk to me, and not anyone can really hear me. I need someone who can really communicate with me. About anything! No restrictions! Not too close, yet not far away. Not too rich, yet not poor. Not too relaxed, yet not too demanding.

In the meantime, see ba. Heh. 1 more year to graduation (if nothing goes wrong). That's when, I hope, I will have the means.

In the meantime, I hope not to see any more sad incidents (but hope and reality don't really go together, we have to take note of that). I hope everyone will be strong, no matter what will happen. I hope everybody will do well in whatever they want to do. I hope…

Wednesday was a 8-to-6 day.

Went for GEK1006 lecture. Everything's the usual, except that the class was getting smaller. Lol… Went to lab to set up my camera stand after that. So far so good. Had lunch with grace (or rather, I eat, she drank… meeting ian still find me for lunch.. duhz. lol), and then jalan jalan around anime bazaar while waiting for ian to appear. Nearly bought pakkun home. So cute!!!!!! Ahhh!!! I want!!!

Went back to lab to continue with my stuff before the 4pm lecture. The lecture was… similar to the one I had attended last semester… same lecturer anyway… Lol…

Thursday was quite a relaxed day.

Met sup in the morning, and managed to stunt him with a chim vector problem, and he still managed to come up with an answer. Wahsey… And the answer sounded logical too. A logical answer means that I will have MORE computation to do… Ahh…

Played tennis after that. We had ben, lionel#1, cjho, james (ben's another freshie). wm ps-ed for the second time. I don't think there will be a third time.

Ate at YIH. Ex and not-so-nice as usual. Went for HR discussion at 2pm. Settled it once and for now… Lol. Hopped over to advanced control lab at E4A 4th floor to find chris to teach him some really simple labVIEW stuff. I still prefer the newer version. Lol.

Nothing much happened for the 2 days, but there's still the same old thing down there…

Interesting (And not-so-interesting) Things
– they ought to teach phd students at the 4th level lab not to back-stab people. I was wondering how he could manage to reach phd level by keeping his mouth shut. Maybe by banging his head on the wall. phd students should earn our respect, not collect stares from us.
– the sun is hot.
– the water is cold.
– my favourite route to and from home nowadays is via biz2. That route will not bring me to E1, EA areas. I don't have much business there anyway, and I will not buy food too.
– tennis is getting more and more interesting. Trash them.
– there's no way tennis can be played properly with odd number of people. Don't believe? Try it.
– it's better to be late than never. PS-ing is a bad habit.
– if no one tells you anything, it's time to evaluate why, if you want to know something. It's not easy.
– it's tiring to keep trying and getting little or no response. It just means 'not interested'.
– it's tiring to keep on asserting yourself to others about a certain issue and they still want to see it in the way they think it is. My stand is clear.

Oh yeah.. about why I am single… erm… next time ba…

Went to school at the usual timing, but not straight to the lab. Had a HR project discussion first. Saw xinli at her usual place. Talked for a while before going up to E2 PC cluster.

Discussion was ok. Just a fast one to make our project more focused into a particular area.

Went over to lab after that, with jh and ben. Ate lunch with ben at engin canteen, and then went back to look at my FYP and jh's software problems. Went for tennis at 2pm. Good day for tennis, even though that's a bit of rain here and there. Currently getting quite used to my nPro Open. Heh heh… have to play more!!!

We went off after gary (that CS1101C lecturer) came and chase us off as his group had booked the court. Lol…

Interesting (and not-so-interesting) Things:
– saw cynthia walking from science to yih, and from yih back to science. Did not manage to say hi, because I was quite far away, and I did not want to be head-shot by tennis balls. And I shy… (Wahaha as if!)
– heard last night about that speed dating thing having more girls than guys. A simple check with engin people, and it looked like the publicity did not really reach alot of people. The main point is: girls more than guys.
– at the control lab, we were like trying to hide from prof lee. Wahaha… hide-and-seek type of game. But then, one fine day, I will need him as one of my guinea pigs if possible… Heh heh…
– someone managed to buy vga cable when I requested for serial cable. Lol. Seeing the co-op people so busy (or act busy), and I was a bit rushed (or act rushed), I bought the serial cable instead of asking for an exchange.
– one of jh's hamster has got an identity crisis from being known as a male when in fact, it's a female.
– my hr group consisted of 4 SAJC siaoz. The other 2 were from the same class in SA. Wahsey…

Went to school for HR discussion. Went to lab first, to settle some 'scores'. Mr Zhang HW not around though. Can't settle 'scores' with him. Lol.

Hopped over to biz2. Grace was 'suntanning' at the benches. Lol… Then her group members came over and off they went for discussion. Peithung was the first to reach, followed by allen, jh, ben, irvin, and last one, yh. He said he did not know we were meeting at 1030. Lol…

After discussion, we went for lunch, and then went off for different activities.

Lecture was getting more and more !@&^!*@!!!) I think everyone agrees.

Interesting (and not-so-interesting) things for today:
– jh could talk non-stop about mola mola.
– jh and grace's fishy discussions only made me want to eat seafood.
– we got a good team for hr.
– nike headbands going at $4.90 each.
– someone's biscuits got stuck in the machine after paying for it. I put in my money and buy another lor, so that both drop out together. Wahaha!
– rain is good.

If I too eng tomorrow, I shall talk about why I am single. Wahaha!!!

As if people want to know.. lol…

What a funny weather. I don't even know if I should step out of home. Lol…

Yeah it's Friday!

Went to school to eat subway with grace! Yummy yummy… and that guy just managed to mix up our order… well done. Lol. And mine became cold cut trio instead of subway melt… whatever ar… it's still edible though.

Went to have a swim at bb pool after that. Shiok ar… Cloudy, yet sunny. I don't know what kind of weather this is.

After that, I went to IMM. Daiso. They changed the arrangement a bit. Things that used to be here were found there, etc… But who cares, as long as I find what I am looking for. Lol… Also, bought 2 VCDs, some yummies from old chang kee, and then, home!

– saw shiying at the biz2 bus stop. she was busy talking to someone else, so did not talk, just hihi here and there. lol.
– after talking to grace over lunch, I have collected some latest news (about people, about her). Wahaha. Applying GEK methods to dig out news… Heh heh…
– saw lionel#2 on 188. He was on his way to play tennis with chris. Heh… he's hugging his k-factor.
– bought opti-free solution. I paid $20. The recommended retail price sticker says $22.
– there were at least 4 bikini babes suntanning at the pool.
– and… same as previous, I don't have any chance to zzz on the bus. Duhz. Wahahah.
