Yeah. Went back to school today! For that C++ to Java Conversion course. It’s free, so, just go and see-see.

Not bad, the lecturer. Heng AK. That guy who wrote that book that we used for our C module (and after that, unable to sell it). Somehow he reminded me of my RSM Heng Swee Seng… They look slightly alike, but talk differently. So, I hope they are not really related..

But then, so what if they are related? Non of my business…. wahahhaa!

Ok, back to the course. It’s like a C++ refresh course to me. My purpose for being there: to see the packages used in Java (lazy to dig out book, so go there and look-see will be an easier thing to do), and the ways things are done in this language.

Overall, it’s OK. The lecture theatre was around 60-70% full. Not that bad, given a Saturday morning. I wonder if the turnout for next week will be like-wise? lol…

After that, I went to Causeway Point once again, to buy my lunch… actually, to jalan jalan a bit. Nothing to do mah, bus came, so took it lor. This time, I really jalan jalan lor…. from first floor to the top floor and B1… everywhere! Was contemplating whether to support Cyndi’s latest CD, but then… I don’t see the point?

I don’t really like ??+??, because, most of the songs in the CD are already part of my collection, be it original or ‘collectibles’…

Went into Popular, looking for something, or rather, trying to think of something, which turned out to be nothing… oh well. Took a look at the pictorial (is that book called “To Singapore With Love”, or something like that). Pro photographers… Nice nice. The price was also very nice… $42. zzZ

After that, jalan jalan some more, and went into Capitol Optical and bought contact lens solution:

Renu was not on any offer in there, so I decided to get this instead. About the same function as the new Renu. Currently, my lenses are soaked in it, so I will know if it’s good tomorrow, when I put them on…

Yeah, that “blink” is the free gift. This is a little box with a mirror in it, and it comes with 2 little vials. They are lubricating drops for contact lenses wearers, when the eyes get dry or tired…. But, such a big space, with only 2 inside? I think they should have placed 4 instead… lol

As usual, I have not read today’s newspaper. Shall go and read it now… It’s no longer news… it’s olds… wahahaha

Did nothing much actually. Only managed to move some stuff into my new drawer thing. While moving things in, I found lots of stuff!

These are the cards! Those were the primary school days. Spending 20cents at the tikum machine, and see who will get the shiny cards… see my collection.. Hmm… quite a few shiny ones. The ??? one is the most special: hologram! Hahaha… Another hot thing during my primary school days was dragon ball cards… But, I was never in this line of ‘trade’…

Some of the cards that I have kept over the years. Not a single less (I hope). These are the ones nearer to the top of the pile, so, it’s like, display set… new year, bday, christmas… Hmm….

More stuff! My marksman badge! The bookmark for our fund-raising thing, 4s3, drawn by LC! That long long bookmark with my name on it, given by Mrs Lim  for Children’s Day’94! And that Notebook was from ???, SAJC. Then that ??? bookmarks… CSS postcards, and that postcard from Mrs Chan in Primary 6: my bday card! Wow…

Saw one of the V200 drivers at NUS just now. What’s his name again… some “Peng” I think… opps… they have ORDed.?! That’s fast… 1 year and 2 months ago, they were still ‘freshies’, being the first batch to be taught the V200 using the new retrofitted vehicle. At least the breakdown rate’s much much less! Heng ar… or else, going to Sungei Gedong for recovery in rain and muddy grounds is not that fun…

But that was the time I drove the vehicle at around 6.30am, passing by the Tengah stretch of road, towards the cemetary area. So cold!!! Or cool, in my sense. But wearing only a coverall, without that jacket, with my sunshades blocking the wind instead of the sun (the sun’s not up yet!), it turned out to be really cold after a while…. brrrrr…..

But driving without a convoy is shiok. No restriction on speed. So much so that I was stopped by a warrant officer on my way back to camp one day. He said that my speed’s too fast. But with such a large vehicle moving on the road, any movement will be considered fast… The most suay thing was that, why was I stopped instead of some other faster vehicles?! Just suay ba… Nothing much happened anyway…. lol. Or should I say, nothing happened.

Tomorrow’s the Java Conversion thing. Think, I shall go take a look. Supposedly meeting Ben for breakfast at 8.30, but I really wonder if I can wake up… lol

The lecture starts at 9am, and ends at 10.30am! Oh no… what can I do after that? Movie? No people. KBox? No people. Swim? No people.

Rather, no people will wanna movie, kbox, swim, with me later…

Ouch… toopid me went to kick the wall at the jacuzzi pool during the previous swim…. Now feeling slight pain when I touch at area… hmm… will recover fast, I hope…

Oh well, woke up at 6.10am this morning! *Yawns*. Took that early bus to buy breakfast from JE 7-eleven. Strange, but I DO have 1 7-eleven within walking distance… Hmmm… never mind about that. I just wanna go JE.

Took 97 and switch to 188. Saw that New Town girl this morning! She has cut her hair, and now, it's short! omg! wahaha… 

Aiya, I was just observing…

Went for that 2 hour lecture. All of them were late!!!!!! I was the earliest!!! Ahhh! Why like that?!

And then, after lecture, I was finding things to do, but somehow, nothing came through, so I decided to take 198 with Joan. She's going to find Mr Law! I was trying to decide where to go on that bus, and in the end, I settled for JP (again)…

Why it looks like I don't have much places to go to?

Which is true. I just went up to the 3rd floor and get my plastic drawer and left. Nothing much to see there. Quite tired of that place already, but sometimes, I just need to go there to get some stuff which can only be found there.

Like what? Dunno…

Talk crap. I just want to take a nice long trip to a place. That's all. Wahaha.. can look at scenery, people, listen to music, and sleep… *yawns*

There's this quite nice siew mai that was sold at 60cents each, at the stall outside JP. There's prawns inside! Quite nice… 60cents, with prawns, where to find? JP lor… 😛

On my way back home on 79, I saw this message on the back of the seat support:

Went home after that. Nothing. Stared at the computer screen. Played some games, and went out to swim at JE with the pig. There's not much people at the pool in the beginning, due to the earlier rain, but when people started to realise that the weather will be ok, they started appearing! Hmmm… still, very little people… which was good.

Not too cold, according to my preference. Just right.

On my way to JE for the swim, I think I saw xiaxue waiting for a taxi near a bus stop! She's really easy to recognise in my neighbourhood. Long, curly hair, with really thick makeup: that's her! Wahahhaa! This was the first time I saw her, though. I was on the bus. Too badz? Or too good? Dunno…

Bus motion too fast, could not point the camera at her to take a shot. So, no pics as evidence…. 😛

Tomorrow.. or rather, today… (past 12 liao), there's a toopid lecture from 4 to 6pm! Ahhh! That's all! 4 to 6pm! Aw…

Woke up early, went to school early. Went to buy books early. Went to have lunch early (but really not that early). Went out of school early. See? So early.

Went to swim just now. Mr Law wanted to zzz. Lijian in lecture, but still replied my SMS. The rest… let's not talk about it.

It's just… crapp.

I am importing back my music file from Joan. Time to add in some really good lyrics. Hahahaa… But then, it's the wrong tune. Outdated tune. Now where's my draft? Should be in the incinerator by now.

Never mind. I still can recall…

Tomorrow's another early come, early go day. I am not planning for anything. No point. No need.

But, aren’t NUS a school? No? Institution of Higher Learning != School? Lol… no holidays can be a better choice. At least there will be less makeups on Saturdays for missed lectures…

Yeah. Today’s the start of the semester! Went out for school quite early, but I only reach there at 8.30am! Wahhaa… in the end I had hotdog and coffee as my breakfast. Uncle returned me $2.60 when I gave him $5, and my food cost $2.60! Wooo… And me, being so good today (*vomits*), decided to return him that 20 cents… lol

The first lecture at LT7A was… erm.. stars. I did not know what the lecturer was trying to say! In the end we were talking more about tutorial balloting than the lecture. So, that 45 minutes passed like no body’s business. Next we moved up to LT6. Ok, that was slightly better. At least I was listening. Yeah, decimal, binary, oct, hex. Fun, so far.

And after that was the heng heng national education survey! zzZ… same old questions (some), and strange questions (a few), and stupid questions (quite a few). While doing that survey, I remembered that, some time back, I think I have done such surveys before. Some questions were very familiar, as if I have done them before. Hmmm….

So after that, Ben, Edwin, Weimin and I went for lunch at Engin Canteen. Hmm.. that new Indonesian Grill Chicken Rice was not bad! Yummy! Ok, shall try other stalls if I have the chance. Hmmm… new stalls here and there, yummy everywhere… opps, forgot to take a picture of the yummy stuff… next time.

Oh well, no Poseidon outing for the first day of school! So bad! I actually wanted to have a Kbox session today! So, there’s actually no plans today. But luckily, Princess was still around! Hahaha!

And so, we went to Clementi Kbox. I chose songs that I thought I could sing, but I was wrong… Hmm… bad… today not up to standard. Maybe I was too stressed having Princess with her angelic voice… lol… no la.. a Kbox-on-demand, so required slightly more time to get into the kbox mood…

Yeah, Princess should go and join ??SuperStar or some singing competition. Can hit the high notes, great vocal, smooth and soothing. I like that! Potential singer.. hmm…

And ofcourse, how can I miss out this rare opportunity to sing duets? ??, ???? and ????. Did not seem to find certain songs though. Sad…

Oh… I have been complaining about not having girls to sing duets? Finally! Erm…can say that ?? “???” ???… 😛

We sang till 5plus, then we jalan jalan around Clementi a bit before she went off with her friends…

And after that, while waiting for a bus at Clementi, 96 came, and down came Zhonghui and Weiyong! Since Zhonghui’s going to his GF’s house in Teban, we came back together. That’s the second time in a row. The other time was yesterday, where we were on the same bus from JE. I was going home from bball and West Mall shopping, and he was with his GF (I forgot her name, ahh… as usual…). So, we took a pic while waiting for the bus at the bus stop near NTUC:

Clementi KBox Evaluation

Not really good. First was that we had to wait! So many people! Ok la… eve of hols, all the siao students were in there, singing away… And then was the MVs. Some tend to skip play, as in, jumping a couple of frames, thus missing one portion of the song. And the best one was ????? by ???. The whole song was in fast forward mode, and there’s no display! And certain songs are missing! And it’s quite hard to find those duets sometimes. Ok, end of complains, for now.

Seriously, please, if there’s a choice, try to avoid? Hahaha… One thing good is that the cigerette smell’s not that strong there, maybe due to the high student population…

Tutorial Balloting… so why don’t they introduce tutorial bidding system instead? Wahhaa! Like that we will become more siao! Ok, I got EE2006 T9, EE2009 T7, and EE2010 T11 so far… One missing EE2012 T13 or T14 due to no vacancy… lost in balloting.. aw…

After settling all my modules, I am thinking, whether I should be taking 6 modules this semester instead of 5. Should I throw one of them away? Hmmm…. it is a serious problem…

I want to take this module surely. It will be fun, I hope. But, maybe I should do a bit of research regarding this module first. Although it is a MCQ exam, it has 4 hours of lectures. There’s also a written assignment. Hmm. And a compulsory textbook. Hmm…

If there’s a choice, I will not choose to drop this. This is a CFM. Singapore Studies. I bidded it for 80 points. Nation Building. Lots of readings, but it’s a history module. I will want to keep this. I should be able to control this module… Hmm…

‘W’ grade will kick in on 18 August, at 1300hrs. So, I still have 1 week to look and see. I need to know the chim-ness of the 4 core modules before deciding. That email did warn us: You are strongly advised not to overload yourself by taking more than 20 MCs of modules in the coming semester.

And no, I don’t think I want to kill myself by choosing to go for IA and taking 6 modules every sem? How? Or maybe I should, go and have tea with my academic advisor? Hmm…

See how ba… for now… I think, I will just keep that module…

Went for bball shooting with Victor just now. The whole court’s ours. So sianz. No people. Haiz… bball is getting worse. Not that my shooting skills are becoming worse, as they are already very bad, but the court is so empty… haiz…

After that, I went over to West Mall to get the card reader/writer:

It’s a SD/ Mini SD/ MMC/ RS-MMC/ T-Flash Card Reader/ Writer! USB, nice nice shape, which can be kept easily in the pencil case! And it’s less than $20! Yay… It’s just the one I am looking for!

But then, the search for certain add-ons was not that fruitful. No idea. Haiz… Can’t seem to find the right one, and was considering a lot of things. Looks like, it has to be ‘some other time’ then… That’s bad… No choice for now…

Tomorrow’s first day of school. Should I “yay” or should I “aw”? Hmm… No idea also! Hahahaha dunno… I am becoming a “dunno person”. Bad bad bad. Who knows, I might end up swimming my afternoon away. It’s quite confirmed that there will not be Kbox tomorrow after all. Anyone wants to go walk walk? I am available after 1pm, free and easy after that. Price negotiable… Oh well… wahahhaa

Tomorrow’s 9 to 12. And at 12, I have this NE survey to do at Audi. So lucky to kena that. Since I am so lucky right at the start of this sem, maybe this sem will be a better one?

Bball drought. That's the word. Why…

People come and go. When there's no people, they don't come. When there's no people, they choose to sit down and look. Why there's no people? Lots of reasons. This is one. One of the main reasons why I decided to call it off.

People come and go as they like. No specific pattern. When they are happy, they will appear. Otherwise, they are no where to be seen. These, I call them walls, just like those that I sms-ed and/or msn-ed, and no replies, as if I am talking to a wall. The walls will respond very fast only if they require your help.

Is it very hard to reply an sms nowadays? I am not getting my share of sms replies, and that can be really frustrating. I hated one-sided sms-ing. If you don't wish to reply to my sms stuff, just reply once with the word “unsubscribe”, and I shall leave you alone, FOREVER.

And I just love it when people who don't reply smses to me ask me the same question. Yeah, you reap what you sow.

The next reason is the ???? point. You can say that I am jealous of them. You can say that I do not understand. I just don't care all these shit. I just want to make the points clear.

People come single and go attached. And will go MIA after that. No, MIA is not My Industrial Attachment. Missing In Action. These will be another group of “Walls”. These are worse. Irresponsible, irritating, and simply hard to tolerate. I am not hitting all with a sledge hammer. I am just citing the minority. These people will be out of my sms list also. It's another wastage, as their smses are reserved for their honey or darling or dear or whatever. Talking to them over the phone will draw blood out of my throat for very good reasons.

Next are the hardworking types.

People come and go busy. They used to be bball siaoz, but due to other commitments, they cannot meet our session time. They are gradually going into my sms ban list, as they are becoming “Walls” too. But I don't blame them. Work is important. Money is important in this world. No money, no talk, no food, no shelter, no power, no SEP, no NOC, no whatever-you-want-to-do-but-ex.

For me, car or no car, that's not so important. People who use private transport just miss out the fun of taking public transport. So much to see, and nice aircon to sleep sometimes. Yeah they said journey's long, waiting time's long. So? Private transport is another luxury… haiz… something that I cannot afford to have in the next few years…

Ok back to topic.

People come and go. But I am still there. Why…

Am I committed? No. Am I foolish? No. Am I being understanding? No. Am I being unreasonable? No. So What am I?

Just me. I want to play bball. That's the point.

I have been Water all my life. I adapt to people, but few really adapt to me. Maybe that's why I like people, and people don't really like me? No, should I say, I care for others more than others care for me?

I've always been asking people to go bball, to go swim. Why? Because, I don't like to do things alone. I've been alone all my life. 22 years. Why will I want to be alone even when I go out? It's just… so like home. But some people can play bball, and can swim alone. I am trying to adapt to that kind of thoughts.

Because I know.

I know that it's hard for people to change. So I have to.

I am Water.

And other things like KBox. People ask for Kbox, but when I ask them about it, they tell me, they want to do other things like, rest, homework, tired, or simply don't want.

If that's the case, I beg you: Don't anyhow use these 4 words: “I want to go”.

If you really keen about such things, please, show some enthusiasiam. Stop letting me doing all the shit work. I am very very pissed with all these. Take note. It's kind of funny. No it's not funny. It's irritating.

See… a missed bball session can cause me to write crap. So, the evil me has decided that it shall rain in the afternoon.

But then, as usual: What I want, I do not get……

Why…

Went to IMM with my mother to buy stuff. Nothing much actually, just some foodstuffs here and there… There’s a lot of people! People buying things as if they are free… Full-load trolleys, full-load baskets…

And there’s this ??? selling at $3 each! So cheap! Everyone’s crowding around that area, look for the best. Well, they looked the same to me from any angle, and they were really fresh from boxes, so I wondered what was the point to go around digging for the best? ???? don’t apply to this scenario I think.

While walking around JE, I saw Caiqun! Hahaha wondered why she was there…

Yeah, rare… I don’t go around, walking around and seeing friends I know… lol

Went home after that. So sianz. Was deciding whether to go out again, but somehow, I forgo that idea. Take the reason as “lazy”, for simplicity’s sake. So, I watched TV, played game, even though I knew I could sleep anytime… Just… tired..

Was switching channels just now, when I saw this on Central:

Hmm… CSS? Tamil Debating Team? Wow… Oh well, I did not understand what he’s saying anyway… But the speech’s a fast 1… like bullet train.

And some people have been saying that CSS is no longer a autonomous school? How true is that? I don’t know. I will know, if I ever go back to look for Ah Leong and Yongi Bear… hahaha… Yeah Teacher’s Day coming. Maybe, get them a card or what… Hmm…

Was going through the photos in my SD card, when I realised that there were more files in there which were not downloaded by the camera’s software. That was why I was thinking whether to go out: To get myself a small, compact, nice-looking USB card reader. I remembered seeing a small and nice one somewhere in some shop, but definitely not Sim Lim… Hmm… Should be at JP? Or was it West Mall? Or was it in my dreams?!

Anyway, here’s one photo of Ben shooting a bball. It’s taken on the day when I got back my camera from the person-I-wanted-to-strangle. 😛 so this pic was not a good shot. See the top area. Too bright sky, spoiling the exposure. And it’s a bit blur, perhaps caused by the bright sky between the tree tops.

Yeah… Hahaha… NDP. I hope to get some shots here and there, but, anyone’s on to go out on that day? Oh well… I want to go see fireworks. I want to go see static displays. I want to go… anywhere, except staying at home…
