Ok, my laptop has decided that it needs to see a doc, so it decided to give me the same problem so that its wish can come true.
Same old problem: cursor blinking after the Fujitsu screen. Nothing loads.
How did it happen this time? I don't know. I was showing Xinli and Chun Jian that killing monster game that I am currently playing, and while passing her the USB drive with that game, and I look back at the screen, I just know that it's time… wahahhaa
That, at a cost of a collection of German songs…… ahhh! 😛
Definitely not that game's problem. It's either another XP software problem, or more serious, the hard disk problem, or perhaps, the main board. Who knows.
And they have run out of new hard disks at the PC Centre… Wahahah see the number of people changing hard disks? Lol…
Yeah, going to the PC Centre so many times has made me a 'regular'… I just stand there, and the Fujitsu guy automatically came out…. wahahaha… First time was regarding some CD, second time was Weimin's problem, which was about the same as mine last time and this time, and third was when Weimin went to collect his laptop back (I happen to be early for the lecture), and forth is this morning's trip. 4 trips within 10 days. Same Fujitsu guy..
Maybe he will get a broom and sweep me out of the centre next time…. wahahhaa! 😛 crappp
Duhz. Now I don't have a laptop, and am currently using my desktop. Oh well, a few days without laptop will be good. At least my bag will be lighter, without that 1.75kg thing…
Hopfully, this time, the things I want to keep will still be in the disk when I get the laptop back… New semester. Meaning, all the stuff on the laptop's desktop are “necessary stuff”…
Stupid CORS! CORS will be cursed and sweared at during the start of every semester due to the fact that it cannot handle too many people at one time. I think they did use some analytical methods to prove that CORS is feasible?
Ok, here's more crapp….
- The probability of logging into CORS successfully during peak timings is near 0.
- The probability of logging into CORS successfully given that the server is still up during peak timings is very low.
- The probability of logging into CORS successfully and finish whatever you set out to do without being shown the server busy page tends to 0.
- The probability of logging into CORS successfully after all the Round As is much higher than the probability of logging into CORS successfully during all the Round As.
- The probability of CORS server crashing is around 0.3.
- Ok, perhaps the system allows 300 people to connect to the server at one time. If you are 301st or more, consider you suay.
- And if you happen to be the 301st person, pray hard that the timing set for timeout (when the system shows you the server busy notice) will not run out just before a connection is available. This way, you will join the end of the queue, and the 302nd person gets the connection… So, consider your suay also.
- Bidding for modules using bid points. Have to fight for a module where some people from some faculty are able to use their Program Account, and you are using General Account? Consider you suay. Outbidded? Too badz
- Tutorials are assigned by balloting, NOT 1st come 1st serve (unlike engin labs… :P, which sabo me). So if you don't get your tutorial timeslot, consider you suay. You can choose to appeal or adjust your timetable. If you don't get your appeal, or end up with a CMI timetable, consider you suay also.
Note: All the statistics above are crapp. And here's the final crap:
The probability of being suay at the start of the semester is very high.
Too badz…. zzz lor…
