Activated At 1500Hrs, Reached Home at 2215Hrs

The phone rang at 1515. One guy told me about recall. The phone rang again at 1520. Another guy confirmed it. I changed quickly and got ready to return back to camp. We had been activated, and I had until 1700hrs to reach camp.

I shared a taxi with Eddy. We reached camp, scanned our 11Bs. Our time was 1602. That was fast. We were not even standby force.

We drew our rifles and brought all our stuff down to wait for further instructions. Then it rained, and we went up to the lecture room to wait. It was really boring.

The few lucky ones were picked for a full field pack check. I was not one of them. The rest of us waited in the lecture room for what seemed like hours.

Everything finished at around 1930. We listened to CO's 'inspiring speech', all expecting what he would say. We got most of the points correct, including the one about offs: he did not mention anything.

After that, we sent arms, brought our stuffs back to our bunk, and waited, this time for arms to be cleared before we were allowed to book out. We waited till 2115hrs, and got scolded by our BWO for nothing. Sometimes, people just have to get their facts right before they open their mouths…

See? One weekend burnt…
