Like what? Like that lor… duhz…

From most TV serials, one may have gotten the impression that, as always, guys are the ones cheating on girls. But why not the other way round? Girls can cheat on guys too.

Qoute from Joan:

SOME guys are just simply disgusting!!

They have their own girlfriends but just love to look at ANOTHER girl.. makes eyes at her, looking out 4 her all the time, making it seem like he's so interested in her.. giving her the wrong idea.. please, if you are attached, show urself some respect.. show ur gf some respect.. and last of all, show OTHERS some respect..

First, one will have to see, why does a guy look at a girl, even when he has a gf. There are quite a few reasons, some of which are listed below (not in order of priority):

he is appreciating the beauty (or the lack of it).

he is comparing (whatever that's comparable, ie, height, hair, blah blah).

he is trying to anger the gf. Make her jealous. Make her scold him. For whatever reason, just imagine the various possibilities.

he needs to see a new “scenary”.

Basically, I think that it's quite normal for guys to look at girls, or vice versa. What's wrong with it? Some people just like to compare. They just cannot live without. Comparisons can go both ways, as do other things. If it goes too much on either ends, the scale will just topple, and everything will be back to square one. Some couples like to quarrel over such things. Some couples always compare, but with a positive mind. They don't think that the comments are out to negate them.

Some guys are very sensitive to comparisons. When a girl says “he's better than you” to her bf, how will he feel? Things can, of course, go both ways here. One is that he will try to defend himself by saying something good about him, or even worse (or better), say something bad about her, which can mean that the comment does have an impact on him emotionally. It's a self defence, an involuntary action. If something bad is said, then the small discussion may turn into a mini war, which can in turn become a wall. (War. Wall… hmm rhymes!)

Another is that he will admit. “Yeah you are right…” It can be somehow turn into some form of joke, somehow, and the discussion will move on. How to turn it into a joke, will depend on individual's skills. Some are just born to tell jokes, while others are like stone. Or rather, wooden blocks.

Of course, not all people can take criticisms with an open mind. Somehow, they will fight back (especially guys) if they don't agree. Guys will fight to the end, in order to make a wrong become an impossible right. Or they will just be very angry and start throwing things around. Tempers flare, and things fly downstairs (oh well… flare, downstairs…). Girls are more on the “calm” side, and they will deploy their most powerful teardrop weapon.

And regarding respect. I think it's mutual too. There's always a balance point which always threatens to topple everything if the equilibrium is disturbed. Give and take. Balance it back. More on the left? Remove more from the right, or try to persuade the left to remove some. Try to give people some way to escape in any situation. Don't kill him or her off in public. All people like “face” (except those really thick-skinned ones who really needs the scrapper and sandpaper to make it thinner).

Let's go back to looking at girls. Looking at girls will be better than having 2 girls! Imagine, you have one girl who is in some place, and you are having another girl with you, currently in another place! Killing 2 birds with one stone? Having 2 girls with 1 guy? Having fun playing hide and seek together?

It's not fun. No, I have not experienced that, but it's not fun.

Is it that difficult to make a choice? If it is, just do an asynchronous clear. Reset everything to 0, and let's start from scratch again. But then, it's always good to make a choice, so that you will be able to free up any “valuable resources” that can benefit another person. I do agree that making a choice is very difficult in the beginning, as most people know that, once a choice is made, there's not much way to turn back. Let's say, in a group of 2 girls and 1 guy. Do you want 3 people to go back to the start line, or you want to send only 1 back for her own good? Or, in a group of 2 guys and 1 girl. Will you choose guy #1 over guy #2, so that guy #2 can just give up on you, and move on? If he's those sentimentally/emotionally attached person, then, too bad for him. Give him 1 or 2 weeks. 1 month. It's better than waiting, and waiting, and waiting. For years.

Yeah, sometimes, being rejected is a bad feeling. The feeling of being beaten and lost. Rejection can also result in the loss of friends, but then, true friends will always be friends, no matter what happen before and/or after. Memory? Keep it with you, and laugh it off over a cup of tea 20 years down the road.

I can continue crapping my way through the night, but I guess, I shall not. Haiz. So sianz. Let's end it with a song lyric. Why I did not put up this lyrics here before, I do not know. It's quite a nice song:

???????

??? Chan, Renee

Who’s Renee ? 7 ?

????2003?11?

?????????????????Terence Teo

???????????????????????
???????????Keep my faith?watch my steps????????
???????????????????????
?????Mr. Perfect??????????be my friend and be my soul mate
??????????????Make me whole?make me brave
??????????????I can wait I will Pray
???????????????????????
?????Mr. Perfect??????????be my friend and be my soul mate
??????????????Make me whole?make me brave
?????????????????????????????
???????????????????????Better day
??????????????Make me whole?make me brave
????????????????????????????????

Time for a little discussion on why girls and guys are like that.
