Managed to configure the wireless, unlike what law has said. Quite easy leh, no problem. Currently on Firefox. Not too used to the display, but I can see problems in my layout. Lol…

My original plan for CSS.Net is for it to become an online portal for classes from different years. It will be a place where people can keep in touch with each other from the same class or from the same cohort. Overall, there will be a forum, where people can discuss about almost everything! Scolding teachers, etc etc etc… Lol…
But all these are not present in the current CSS.Net.
I passed them CSS.Net in the hope that they will do something better and faster out of it. In the end, it became a desert. I took a look at the yahoo group: the last announcement was in 2004!!!! WTH…
It was a wrong choice to give them that domain name. Can they make it alive??? Hello? There's no one home.

Never mind for now. I shall continue to work on HS.Net… There are a lot of things that I wanted to do, but there's a lack of time.
I have formatted my laptop 3 days ago. I spent 1 day restoring everything. Currently, it is free from a lot of things! No WinPIC, no VC++, no VHDL stuffs, everything also don't have! And it now runs like a horse! Lol…
Still, the old problem remains: lack of disk space.
Having a 1GB thumbdrive does increase my backup capacity by quite a bit.
However, there are some things that I cannot download yet due to the underground cable problem near Taiwan. I can access the file, but it is just slow. Slow and unstable. And so, I shall KIV first. That is not too important. Some things can be done with other methods.
I spent around 2 minutes searching for something, and I found it: SG NRIC verification algorithm. How do you verify an identification number? By using a dot.product of the number with a set of multipliers! Lol… in simpler terms, it means multiply each number in the identification number with a multiplier, and sum up all the results. Then the number is divided by a divisor, and the remainder value is used to get a letter from a table. I think the last letter is called a checksum or something like that. It is used to verify that the numbers are indeed correct.
Same thing. NUS uses that in the matric numbers too.
There are other things that uses such checksum methods, but often, the formula for getting the letter is not known to the public. But it's good for programmers to known how they work… Lol…

EE2001 Project
Nightmare module. It almost took up all my time this semester. No, it was not too difficult a module for me. It's just the lack of resources. Some things can only be done in the lab.
And not forgetting that, it was also due to the lack of experience in handling such projects efficiently. Although I felt quite unjustified getting an A- instead of an A, still, it's ok. I accept that.
EE3101 Digital Signal Processing
It looked like a lot of people did not know what was happening in the first 2 questions of the paper! Lol. The second part was ok, and so, the grade. Anyway, this module is ok, except for some parts due to a syllabus change. That's the grey part. So grey. Lol. Anyway, it provides the bridge between analog and digital signals, and so, it's still ok. At least something has been learnt.
EE3302 Industrial Control Systems
Alright. I liked control systems. But I don't like exams. Lol. I like hands on, but this module's hands on make me even more blur than before. Did not really understand what Sam really wanted in the second part. But then, at least more advanced control methods are investigated. Too bad, these doesn't apply much in EE2001. Impossible to apply. See the module's name?
EE3505 Electrical Energy Systems
Ok, another headache module. Basically, he who remembers the most correctly, scores. It's memory work! Remembering so many formulae, and the questions really require those formulae!! If one's mind decides to switch off, it's the end. On a more positive side, it is seen how power systems work, even though it is 'mini version' that we have used in our experiments. It's like, reading the notes, and trying to understand some concepts from there. Lack of much fun. An industrial visit will make the module much more useful, but then… oh well.
EE3601 Bio-instrumentation & Signal Analysis
As usual, I don't have luck in modules that I like. For the past few semesters, it has always been this case. Perhaps I have been giving away too much luck to people? Ok then, I shall get them all back this coming semester. Some people don't deserve luck. Ok that's a bit out of point. Pull back… This module is like a bio revision in the first part and a signal revision in the second. Interesting. If only there's no helpsheet. Lol. Because modules with helpsheet, it always been the case that, your grades will depend on the amount of relevent things that you have written on it…
EE1415 Engineering Professionalism
An ok module. I expected a worse grade due to forgetfulness. It's good that I still managed to get this grade. Anyway, as usual, I don't seem to do well for 3-MC modules too. Lol. Damn… I can only do better in modules that's higher than 4 MCs? Lol…. totally crap. I have no complains for this module. I have an interesting tutor. The only thing I can complain is still regarding helpsheet. Same thing as above. And also, the lack of time for me to think before answering the question. How I know how long I should write for a particular answer???
That marks the end of module evaluation. It's still an acceptable semester, even though I really hope I can do better. Can I ever hit the 4? It's hard…
Ok, now for the next sem. Onward!
Yeah it's Christmas! I just came home from a little gathering of 3 men. Played bowling and pool, and then off to Bukit Timah for prata.
In bowling today, Ruifu did a stunt that not anybody can do. The ball was rolled backwards! Yes, towards where we were sitting! It was soooo funny! Wahahah!!! And in the end, he won with 101 points. Duhz.
And surprisingly, today's pool was quite empty. Hmm… All had gone out to chiong ba. Lol.
Did a simple sms test while on my way to West Coast. Many people failed the test. Lol but never mind, it's ok. It's Christmas!
This christmas is a relaxing one for me, as there's nothing much to think about. So free. Due to a clear drawing of a line, I have chosen to cut back, reduce, and to null. As in a cron job, if we do not want to see any output, we will put >dev/null behind the command to be executed. That will be good. At least I don't need to know about the outcome. It's up to people to decide for themselves, and not for me.
My posts are getting shorter, as there is really no need to complain too much about things. And my blog is not for me to complain too much. Lol. Sometimes, complains complicate matters. People just don't understand what I am complaining about, what I am thinking of, and what I am trying to imply. They will just assume.
But they are not me.
I complain because I know what I want to complain about. Interpretation is up to any reader. Just like any history subject.
Results going to be out on 26. Oh well. I shall write module evaluation after the release of results.

Gone for some bball shooting just now. It drizzled as usual. Damn sianz. Something's wrong somewhere. But anyway, it's Christmas eve. Have a good eve, everyone.
Well well… had another cold swim in the morning… lol. Zhenyao, Ruifu, and I. Ruifu reached at around 1145am, when Zhenyao and I had been in the pool for 1 hr and 15 minutes already! Well done. But anyway, it's good to stone in the water. Ahh. no. Freeze in the water. Not as cold as that day at JE though.
After that, Zhenyao needed to go back to Clementi, and so, Ruifu and I went for lunch at BK, and then headed off to Novena. Nothing much at Velocity, except for some sports shop here and there. Not much people also. Most prominent thing should be Jackie Chan's name at California Fitness at the 3rd floor. Really nothing much. Some shops are not opened yet. KIV ba.
We then crossed the road to United Square. Slightly more people I think. Walked here and there. Nice nice Ginger Bread family, but I decided not to spend money yesterday, so no.

As you can see, I have added in 2 new blogs: Grace and Cynthia! Congratulations on getting into my Links table. Oh well… it's not a very big deal anyway… but urm…. yeah congrats…. wahhaha! Duhz lame… -.-

Went swimming with Ruifu in the morning! The water was ice cold!!! But then, it's realllllyyyyy shiok ar! How many times in one year can you swim in ice water in Singapore? Lol… Even though it's very cold, there were still lots of kids running about, splashing around in the wave pool and lazy river… wow…
After the swim, we went for KFC, then headed to IMM. I bought a 1GB FlashGO! USB drive. Yay. My little christmas present for myself. Lol.
